Roll Ball is a game played between two teams. Roll Ball is played on "roller shoes". Each team consists of 12 players, six on the field and six in reserve. The main objective of the game is to score maximum goals within a stipulated time. The main feature of Roll Ball is that the ball is held in single or both the hands, even when passing on to the other players, and is repeatedly bounced on the ground.

The main aim of International Roll Ball Federation is to promote this new Born game in all countries of the world and to make this game popular among the school and college students. This event will help the students / players to Interact & exchange their Cultural values and views with others. It will also create a sense of unity and brotherhood between them.
It is certainly not an easy task to introduce a NEW GAME in to the main-Flow of the sports world. What encourages us to continue with our efforts to introduce, Popularize, Develop, REFIN AND organize the new game of ROLL BALL, is the THRILL and the JOY, and the INVOLVEMENT and the FIERCE COMPETITIVE SPIRIT that we saw on the faces of the children who played the trial matches and the inaugural matches.
ROLL BALL, a fast growing sport of the century now has spread its wings throughout the world. It has received attention of various people in the sports fraternity and applauds from the people. Roll Ball has now become the heart throb of all the youth.
The IRBF has now more than 50 countries spread across 5 continents playing this game. So come one come all, join this great sport of this new era. A game with thrill, enthusiasm, unity and sensitivity. A warm welcome to you in the Roll Ball family.
This game was invented by Mr. Raju Dabhade of Pune City, India, while he was the sports teacher at MES Bal Shikshan Mandir, English Medium School. He is also the Secretary of the International Roll Ball Federation.
The roll-ball can be used by more than one players in the game. It is not an individual equipment.

Roll Ball Objects
Ball is used by more than one players and its not an equipment. Only Skates is an individual equipment.
The court size can vary from 28 to 40 metres (92 to 131 ft) in length and 15 to 20 metres (49 to 66 ft) in width. The court includes a center line dividing offensive and defensive areas. The penalty line is drawn 4.5 m or 3.5 m away from the goal. Free Throw line or Goalkeeper's line or D arena is 3.5 m to 2.5 m away from the goal. The playing court is marked by 5 cm boundary line. All other line are marked by red or white color. The court is hard and is made of concrete, asphalt, mat or wood. A 3-meter line is drawn as a safety margin outside the boundary line. The goal is 2.25 meters wide by 2.00 meters height.

The 1st Roll Ball World Cup 2011 was held at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune in Maharashtra state of the Republic of India. This was held from 16 April to 22 April 2011. Denmark was the winner. Host India was the runner-up.

We are very happy to submit the Roll Ball World Cup Report. The 1st Roll Ball World Cup was inaugurated by the auspicious hands of the Mayor of Pune Mr. Mohansingh Rajpal in the presence of Mr. V. K. Sood, President International Roll Ball Federation, Adv. Abhay Chhajed, President Roll Ball Federation of India, Mr. Vasant Rathi, President 1st WRBC Organizing committee, Mr. Narendra Sopal Director of Sports Maharashtra State, Dr. Amit Malik Director of Sports Kerala, Mr. T.B. Dasan President Kerala Sports council, Mr. Siddharth Mayur , Mr. Vipul Patel, Mr. Satish Gharpure.
The Opening Ceremony started with lighting of the lamp which represents the Indian Culture. A stupendous dance performance by classic; dancer Parimal Phadke and his group set the tone of the Opening Ceremony. Followed by it was a fusion by Mr. Milind Date accompanied by Mr. Devdatta Phadke which mesmerized the audience.
Two more performances by the Sphinx Adonis group and a group dance on the dances of India were enjoyed a lot by the audience. The Opening Ceremony ended with a demonstration match of Roll Ball.
The actual competition began on 17 April 2011 in the presence of Mr. SS Roy, Director Sports Authority of India, Mr. Narendra Sopal Director of Sports Maharashtra State, Dr. Amit Malik Director of Sports kerala, Ms. Penninah Kabenge, Secretary General Uganda Olympic Council, Mr. MS Tyagi Projector Officer SAI, Mr. Sanjay Sabnis Astt. Director of Sports Maharashtra State.

2013 World Cup
2nd Roll Ball World Cup 2013- Report
The 2nd Roll Ball World Cup was held from 3 to 6 October 2013 at MOI International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya. The event was organized by Kenya Roll Ball Federation, Africa Roll Ball Federation and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Kenya under the aegis of International Roll Ball Federation. This event was organized in the Men’s and Women’s category.
The championship was declared open by Mr. Gordon Olouch Commissioner of Sports, Kenya Government in the presence of Mr. Stephen Karinga, Mr. V.K. Sood President IRBF.
In a hard-fought encounter, Denmark defeated Kenya to win the Third Place. The hosts were leading 3 – 2 till the last 15 minutes of the game. But Denmark proved their experience and won the match 4 – 3. The final match saw lots of ups and downs. It wasn’t easy for India to beat the first-time participants Iran. Till the half time Iran was leading 4 – 3. But after the half time India put their heads together and won the match comfortably by 9 – 6.
The World Cup surely showed that Roll Ball was growing all over the world. The quality of the game developed in all aspects like skills, physical and mental fitness, coaching and team work. This world cup really proved that Roll Ball will be the game of the future.
The Prize Distribution was done by Mr. Gordon Olouch Commission of Sports Kenya in the presence of Mr. V.K.Sood President IRBF, Mr. Dawda, Dr. Prakash Heda, Mr. Stephen Karinga Deputy Commissioner of Sports and many other dignitaries.

2015 World Cup
The 3rd Roll Ball World Cup 2015 was held at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune in Maharashtra state of the Republic of India. This was held from 16 December to 20 December 2015. The hosts India won the 3rd Roll Ball World Cup by beating Iran by 6–4 in the finals.
3rd ROLL BALL WORLD CUP- REPORT
We all, the members of IRBF, RBFI, Organizing Committee and the Reception Committee are filled with great sense of satisfaction and gratitude to submit the 3rd Roll Ball World Cup Report.
The preparations for this world cup truly began almost 12 months back and struck the first success note when the Logo for this championship was launched on 11 October 2015 by the auspicious hands of Hon. Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of India, Shri Sarbananad ji Sonowal at a grand ceremony held at the banquet hall of Hotel Marriot, S. B. Road, Pune.
The 3rd Roll Ball World Cup was inaugurated by the auspicious hands of the Mayor of Pune Mr. Dattatray Dhankawde in the presence of Mr. P. D. Patil, Vice Chancellor-DY Patil University; Mr. Sunil ji Deshpande- Social Worker, Ms. Penninah Kebange, President-International Roll Ball Federation; Mr. Satish Sarhaddi, Director-Sports Authority Of India; Adv. Abhay Chhajed, President-Roll Ball Federation of India, Mr. Vasantrao Rathi Chairman-3rd RBWC Organizing committee; Mr. Manik Thosare, Asst. Director-Sports Maharashtra State; Mr. N. B. Mote, Asst. Director-Sports Maharashtra State; Ms. Kavita Navande Asst. Director MH; Mr. Vineetji Kuber, Director-IRBF & Mr Satish Gharpure, Member-3rd RBWC Organizing committee.
The Opening Ceremony started with the lighting of the lamp which represents the Indian Culture of progressing from darkness to light. This was followed by the March past by all the participants from different countries. A dance performance Ganesh Vandana by classical dancers of Sanskriti Kala Manch and also by the students of Bal Shikshan Mandir School, Mahesh Vidyalaya, Ryan International School, followed by a demonstration of Yoga for the new generation organized by Mrs. Sunanda Rathi. The dance performances were followed by singing performance of the students of Blind School Pune and were enjoyed a lot by the audience. The cherry on the cake was the pulsating performance of Dhol and Tasha by the Shivgarjana group. The guests were enthralled to hear the 100-year-old Dhol-Tasha beats that set their legs tapping to the rhythm. The Opening Ceremony ended with the first league match of the Women’s category. A very important aspect which the IRBF has begun; was to begin the Championship matches with the Women’s match in respect to the Women Power. This was a gesture by the IRBF to give importance to Women empowerment.
Out of the 32 confirmed countries 26 countries participated in this championship viz, Argentina, Bangladesh, Belarus, Benin, Bhutan, China, Denmark, Egypt, England, Fiji, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, Latvia, Malaysia, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Senegal, Singapore, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia & host India. 6 countries viz. Guinea, Tanzania, Rwanda, Turkey, Pakistan and Sierra Leone could not participate due to some technical problems. The League matches continued on 16, 17 & 18 December. The women’s semifinal and men’s quarterfinal matches were played on Saturday 19 December. In the first Women’s semi - final India defeated Iran 2-1 while Kenya beat Uganda 2-1 to enter the finals. In the final match Kenya beat India 2-1 to clinch the title. The Prize distribution of the Women’s event was done by in the presence of Mr. Swarn Singh Chhabda-Secretary Sports Authority of India; Mrs. Penninah Kabenge, President-International Roll Ball Federation; Mr. Vasant Rathi, Mr. Manohar Kant, and Mr. Vineet Kuber.
The men’s semifinal matches were played on Sunday 20 December. In the first semi - final India beat Kenya 9-4 while Iran beat Latvia 11-6 in the second semi - final to enter the finals. In the final match India beat Iran 6-4 to clinch the title. The Prize distribution of the Men’s event was done by Shri Anil Shirole MP Pune City in the presence of Mrs. Penninah Kabenge, President-International Roll Ball Federation, Mr. Vasant Rathi, Mr. Ramkumar Rathi, Mr. Vineet Kuber and Mr. Satish Gharpure.
Another important gesture by the IRBF was the Social Aspect brought to the Championship by giving an opportunity for the Blind Children to perform during the Opening Ceremony. A "Wheel Chair Roll Ball" Demonstration match by the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre of the Indian Army at Pune; also added a flavor of social awareness and Salute to our Army personnel to the 3rdRBWC.

2017 World Cup
4th ROLL BALL WORLD CUP 2017- REPORT
We all, the members of RBFI are filled with great sense of satisfaction and gratitude to submit the 4th Roll Ball World Cup Report. The 4th Roll Ball World Cup was held at Dhaka Bangladesh from 17 to 23 February 2017. Both the Indian Men and Women’s teams participated in this World Cup.
The preparations for this world cup truly began almost 3 months back with the selection process of the Indian Team. Senior players who participated in the Roll Ball National Championship were invited for the selection trials. In all 68 boys and 28 girls participated in the selection process. The selection process included anthropometrical measurements and 8 different physical fitness and skill tests. Out the participants, 20 players each were selected for the training camp for 10 days which was organized at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Balewadi Pune. The final Indian teams were selected from this camp.

Around 590 players, 100 Official, 200 Scout Cadets from a total of 39 countries spread across Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania and South America took part in the 4th Roll Ball World Cup 2017. The Roll Ball World Cup matches were played at three different venues - Shaikh Russel Roll Ball Stadium, Hand Ball Stadium & Mirpur Indoor Stadium. The Opening & Closing ceremony were held at the Sheikh Russel Roller Skating Complex at Paltan Maidan Dhaka Bangladesh.

The men’s semifinal matches were played on 22 February. In the first semi - final India beat Kenya 10-4 while Iran beat Bangladesh 11-3 in the second semi - final to enter the finals. In the final match India beat Iran 8-7 to clinch the title.
The women’s semifinal matches were played on 22 February. In the first semi - final Iran beat Kenya 3-2 while India beat Senegal 8-3 in the second semi - final to enter the finals. In the final match India beat Iran 6-4 to clinch the title.
The World Cup takes place every two years. Denmark clinched the title in the 1st Roll Ball World Cup in India-2011, 2nd RBWC 2013 held at Kenya, 3rd RBWC2015 at India & 4th RBWC2017 at Bangladesh were won by India in the Men Category.
Women 1st RBWC 2013 at Kenya was won by India, 2nd RBWC2015 at India was won by Kenya & 3rd RBWC2017 at Bangladesh was won by India in the women Category.
The Prize distribution of the Men’s and Women event was done by Hon Prime Minister of People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina in the presence of Mr. Abdul Hamid – President Peoples Republic of Bangladesh Dhaka, Mr. AHM Mustafa Kamal – Minister of Planning Govt. of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh, Dr. Shri Biren Sikder - State Minister of Sports Govt. of Bangladesh, Mr. Arif Khan Joy - Dy. In the 4th Roll Ball World Cup 113 matches were broadcast live which was viewed by 110 countries around the world. Shaikh Russel Stadium was built in 75 day's record time with solar panels on top of the roof by Bangladesh government specially for Roll Ball World Cup. All World Cup venues and accommodation area was having free Wi-Fi network round the clock and 3 layers of security. All teams and official were provided AC vehicle for transportation with liaison officer from the time they landed in Bangladesh and each one was received and welcomed at airport by organizing committee.
