Administrator instructions

To report an error on today's or tomorrow's Main Page, please add it to the appropriate section below.

  • Where is the error? An exact quote of all or part of the text in question will help.
  • Offer a correction if possible.
  • References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
  • Time zones: The current date and time is displayed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 09:37 on 21 May 2019), not adjusted to your local time zone.
  • Do not use {{edit fully-protected}}, which will not give you a faster response, and in fact causes problems if used here. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
  • Done? Once an error has been fixed, or has rotated off the Main Page, or has been acknowledged as not an error, the error report will be removed from this page; please check the page's history for discussion and action taken.
  • No chit-chat: Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere.
  • Can you fix the issue yourself? If the error is with the content of an article linked from the main page, consider attempting to fix the problem rather than reporting it here.

Today's OTD[edit]

The picture for the Kingda Ka entry shows two roller coasters, El Toro (the wooden rollercoaster) in the foreground and Kingda Ka in the background. I think this could lead some viewers to falsely believe that Kingda Ka is the wooden roller coaster in the foreground. Why not use File:Kingda Ka.jpg instead? Spike (talk) 09:01, 21 May 2019 (UTC)

I tend to agree. File:Kingda_Ka_tower.jpg is another option. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:27, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
I've added those two alternatives to WP:CMP so that one can be used shortly — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:37, 21 May 2019 (UTC)

  • Konrad Püschel hook in Queue5 is incorrect. The source indeed gives Püschel as the last surviving Bauhaus student, but he died in 1997, and e.g. Wilfred Franks, the first English Bauhaus student[1] lived at least until late 1999[2] and apparently until 2003[3]. We also have Bertrand Goldberg, who lived some 9 months longer than Puschel. Andreas Feininger lived one month longer, T. Lux Feininger lived until 2011(!) and Horacio Coppola until 2012(!!). I haven't searched for even more counter-examples... Fram (talk) 09:27, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
@Felixkrater, Yoninah, and Spokoyni: can this be fixed or should this hook be pulled? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:32, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
