Allamuchy is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Allamuchy Township, in Warren County, New Jersey, United States.[8] As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 74.[3]

As of the 2000 United States Census, the area of the current CDP was part of the Allamuchy-Panther Valley CDP,[9] which had a 2000 Census population of 3,125.[10] As of the 2010 Census, the CDP was split into Allamuchy CDP and Panther Valley (2010 population of 3,327[11]).[9][12][13]

Geography[edit]

According to the United States Census Bureau, Allamuchy CDP had a total area of 0.082 square miles (0.211 km2), including 0.081 square miles (0.209 km2) of land and 0.001 square miles (0.001 km2) of water (0.68%).[1][14]

Demographics[edit]

Census 2010[edit]

As of the 2010 United States Census, there were 78 people, 33 households, and 23.991 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 964.4 per square mile (372.4/km2). There were 35 housing units at an average density of 432.7 per square mile (167.1/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.44% (76) White, 0.00% (0) Black or African American, 0.00% (0) Native American, 0.00% (0) Asian, 1.28% (1) Pacific Islander, 0.00% (0) from other races, and 1.28% (1) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 12.82% (10) of the population.[3]

There were 33 households out of which 36.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.5% were married couples living together, 15.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.3% were non-families. 27.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.36 and the average family size was 2.71.[3]

In the CDP, the population was spread out with 25.6% under the age of 18, 2.6% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 29.5% from 45 to 64, and 14.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39.5 years. For every 100 females there were 100.0 males. For every 100 females ages 18 and older there were 87.1 males.[3]
