Bara Choughara is a village in Chanditala I community development block of Srirampore subdivision in Hooghly district in the Indian state of West Bengal.[1]

As per 2011 Census of India, Bara Choughara had a total population of 788 of which 387 (49%) were males and 401 (51%) were females. Population below 6 years was 71. The total number of literates in Bara Choughara was 577 (80.47% of the population over 6 years).[3]
