Harinavi is a locality in Rajpur Sonarpur Municipality of South 24 Parganas district in the Indian State of West Bengal. It is a part of the area covered by Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA).[3]
Geography[edit]
Harinavi located at 22°24′45″N 88°25′07″E / 22.4125°N 88.4186°E. It has an average elevation of 9 metres (30 ft).
Education[edit]
There are two major schools in this locality, one is a boys' school called Harinavi DVAS High School and the other one is a girls' school called Subhashini Balika Vidyalaya.
Transport[edit]
Harinavi is well connected by railway and roadway. Subhashgram railway station connects the city with Sealdah railway station by Sealdah–Namkhana line which connects the metropolis of Kolkata with the rest of India. Bus service is available towards Kolkata through SH 1. Apart from that both app based and non app based cab agencies provide transport services to Harinavi. For transport inside the city three wheeled autorickshaws and manual rickshaws are good options.
Health[edit]
Certain areas of the South 24 Parganas district have been identified as having poor ground water and contamination. Specifically, ground water is affected by arsenic contamination.[4]
