Hind Motor is a locality in Uttarpara Kotrung Municipality of Hooghly district in the Indian state of West Bengal.[1][2] It is situated on the western bank of the Hooghly River. It is a part of the area covered by Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA).[3]

The locality is prominent as it developed, and named, for a Hindustan Motors factory, shared with the neighbouring Uttarpara and Konnagar suburbs.[1] The factory had been in the area since 1948, and was the sole manufacturing site of the famous Hindustan Ambassador.[1] At its peak the town had its own schools, temples and hospitals.[1]

Hind Motor is well connected by road and rail. Hind Motor railway station connects the town to Howrah Station via the Howrah-Bardhaman Main Line. A portion of the Grand Trunk Road passes through the locality.
