Kailashahar Airport (IATA: IXH, ICAO: VEKR) was an airport located at Kailashahar in the state of Tripura, India. The airport was shut down in mid 1990 due to lack of space. After that, there has been no attempt to relocate it.

A NEW ERA- After 28 years in 2018 this Kailashahar airport got the green card for renovation.And it was decided that flights having 16 seats will serve this small town in the near future.Now the terminal building renovation is fully completed and waits for the renovation of runway.A new meteorological office also set up in the airport premises.

Airlines and destinations[edit]

There is currently no scheduled commercial air service in this Airport. This airport again restarted under UDAN Scheme of Indian Government. AAI Chief Says that "When an airline operator wants to Start Operation in this Airport. AAI makes the airport ready." The flight maybe between via Agartala(IXA) to Kolkata (CCU).
