The only real thing maybe to chop and transfer is on the war of Afghanistan as the rest is generally short with some with links to other articles. Maybe some of the info maybe transfer in the Canadian's role in Afghanistan article. I would like to know which areas can be moved to that article. Otherwise there's is currently nothing really to move elsewhere.--JForget 01:32, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
This one probably doesn't need to be split any futher. Kevlar67 (talk) 17:56, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

American bias[edit]

Why is an article, about a Canadian-related issue, so American biased? NorthernThunder (talk) 19:01, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

LOL if you mean the American-related content, that's because Canada's largest trading partner and of late (since Harper) political partner is the United States; Canadian foreign relations are always about the United States....I haven't looked to see if the tone/content is American-biased as you indicate; certainly it will be GOP-biased, given the tight ideological and personal links between them and the Tories it's inescapable that Tory press releases are going to be American in tone, and probably also in bias.....but I'm nominating this article and its sisters for deletion today, given the election campaign underway and the infamous attempt to rebrand "the government of Canada" as "the Harper government" these articles constitute blatant spam and are unredeemable and should not exist.Skookum1 (talk) 21:58, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

The general tone, especially of the already-flagged intro, indeed reflects the agenda of Republicans both south and north of the 49th parallel. EricClarion (talk) 22:56, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

The whole series of "Harpermania" articles does that, and is a reason why they should be torched and started over from scratch as Canadian foreign policy, Canadian economic policy, etc. and not focussing around this particular PM's career and policies; there has been some reactive input/changes on them but the problem is the whole framework of these articles is based around the Harperite agenda, and their titles are questionable because of the political/advertising usage/rebranding favoured by the government as "Harper government" instead of "Government of Canada". I tried to get these articles ditched as advertising, which is what they really are, as no other CAnadian PM has so much coverage or focus in Wikipedia, and got myself blocked for my trouble (including by "votes" by admittedly rightwing/tory-favourable admins who should have recused themselves).Skookum1 (talk) 05:19, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
