July 2016[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. --John (talk) 22:08, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Copyright[edit]

Hello again. Please do not just copy/paste content from a website ([1]) to a Wikipedia article, as you did to Worth School. This is considered a copyright violation, and is flatly unacceptable. If you have done that anywhere else, you must revert your edits or remove the copied content as soon as possible. See Wikipedia:Copyright violations for more. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 21:07, 22 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi Grayfell!

One is allowed to restructure the same content but using different words, terms or sentences for example?

Many thanks again --CreiterAdam45z (talk) 12:11, 4 November 2016 (UTC)

Hello. Yes, that's right, but WP:CLOSEPARAPHRASEs are not really any better than outright copies. Also, official websites and similar tend to be poor for establishing WP:DUE weight of content. WP:PRIMARY also advises against basing large passages on such sources for different reasons. That's not specifically about copyvios, but it's a closely-related stumbling block. Does that answer your question? Grayfell (talk) 00:05, 5 November 2016 (UTC)

Yes! Grayfell, thank you very much indeed!

Have a good day --CreiterAdam45z (talk) 20:39, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

Spanish Empire Map[edit]

Do you have any sources for the locations on your Spanish Empire map? I can't find anything for Spanish colonies in places such as the Bird's Head Peninsula and Somalia. --Bobbbcat (Bobbbcat) 14:09, 9 June, 2017. Bobbbcat (talk) 03:11, 8 June 2017 (UTC)

3rr[edit]

You are in danger if edit warring, over blatant synthesis. If you revert it again you will almost certainly get a block for it.Slatersteven (talk) 10:47, 8 February 2018 (UTC)

Slatersteven How was that blatant? I believe there was a lot of paraphrasing going on.
