Please help me with figuring out how to create a subpage on the MeetUp page. I am trying to set one up for an edit-a-thon being held in early April in the Albany NY area, and I just can't figure out how to do it. I appreciate any help I can get! I do have a couple of external event notices (such as this one) but not a meetup. Thank you!

TrudiJ (talk) 18:04, 19 March 2018 (UTC)TrudiJ

The process should consist of two steps:
  1. Create a meetup page at an appropriate title, say WP:Meetup/Albany-Capital Region/ArtAndFeminism 2018. You can take inspiration for the meetup page's content from other meetup pages, say Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/ArtAndFeminism 2018. You may also want to check Wikipedia Meetups - A design pattern catalogue.
  2. To get it listed, add an entry in chronological order to Template:Meetup/April 2018. The entry should consist of two lines of code, like this (adapt as needed):
|- class="vevent"
|class="summary location"|[[WP:Meetup/Albany-Capital Region/ArtAndFeminism 2018|Albany ArtAndFeminism 2018]] ||{{start date|2018|04|09}}
I hope this helps. Huon (talk) 19:18, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

@Huon: Thank you very much for your help! It was creating the meetup page that stymied me, and you got me started. Also you wrote the chronological entry--that was kind of you. I think I have everything set up now, even a geonotice!

Signup URL problem[edit]

Hello TrudiJ. There is a discussion at Wikipedia:Teahouse#Trouble signing up for Wiki meet up that you should be aware of. A user is having problems with the "Register" URL at Wikipedia:Meetup/Albany-Capital Region/ArtAndFeminism 2018. I tried it myself and confirmed that it isn't working. Is it using a broken link? --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:16, 29 March 2018 (UTC)

@Drm310 Thank you for alerting me to this problem on my Talk page.

Help me![edit]

Expired-mark
This help request has been answered by a question, but you didn't reply. If you need more help, place a new {{help me}} request on this page followed by your questions.

Please help me with moving an article I drafted in my Schade section of my Sandbox out of the sandbox to become a new article. I've gotten everything ok except the reference list. One of those items seems to move over ok, but the others all have errors. Is there a streamlined way to make this transfer without having to redo all of the references? Thank you so much!

TrudiJ (talk) 14:45, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

I'm not seeing errors in the reference list. Before you move this draft to article space, though, you need to eliminate the external links in the body of the article. I also suggest that you review the artist notability criteria and make it clearer how Schade meets them.
I'm going to leave this help request open in case someone else has a better idea of what you're seeing as errors. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 15:53, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

@jmcgnh Thank you for your assistance. I moved the page, rather than copying and pasting, and I removed the links as you suggested. I also added additional content regarding notability. TrudiJ (talk) 17:44, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

TrudiJ, Closing this as I can't see any issues RhinosF1(chat)(status)(contribs) 17:40, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

References for Samina Akbari, which has been nominated for deletion[edit]

Sorry to bother you, an article I started as part of Wikipedia:Meetup/Albany-Capital Region/ArtAndFeminism 2019: Samina Akbari, has been recently nominated for deletion. Part of the nominator's argument is that the sources presented in the article do not establish notability. I was having trouble finding additional reliable citations so I was wondering if there were any possible references you might be able to find. Thank you Inter&anthro (talk) 02:09, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
