Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan has shared her disgust after discovering a sealed loaf of bread was covered in flies. 

The reality star, 27, revealed her horror at the 'vile' discovery on Twitter, posting a video of the bread to her 1.7 million followers.

Holly said she'd been left horrified to find her sealed loaf of 'fresh, unopened' Hovis bread was covered in tiny flies.

Other social media users were equally disgusted by the moment, with many calling it 'revolting' online.

Holly posted a video online, writing: 'Why are there flies in my fresh unopened loaf of bread @hovisbakery?'.

In the clip, she can be seen tugging at the bag of bread to indicate it's a sealed bag, while tiny flies appear trapped between the plastic and the loaf.

Holly said: 'Wow that is actually vile. I brought this bread the other day and it hasn't been opened and it's got loads of flies on it.'

She explained: 'I've checked for air holes and everything, absolutely nothing where flies could get in.'

Asda has been contacted for comment. 

Holly went on to reveal she was 'normally a 'Warbutons 50/50 girl' but had tried out the Hovis loaf as it was part of her 'diet plan'.

She claimed she would never buy Hovis again, adding that she would seek an alternative for her diet. 

Social media users were equally disgusted by the video, with hundreds commenting on the post with horror.

Glamour model and TV personality Danielle Lloyd was quick to comment, writing: 'That's disgusting.'

Another commented: 'Omg! How disgusting. Hope they apoligise and compensate you generously.' 

Elsewhere another said they felt 'physically sick' at the video, one wrote: 'That is absolutely disgusting.' 

Hovis responded to Holly's tweet, asking the reality star to DM them in order to investigate further.
