Woman DRAGS a helpless pet rabbit across a car park on a lead in disturbing footage

Disturbing video shows a woman dragging a rabbit on a lead across a retail park.

The apparently terrified animal is dragged along on its paws in the short clip which was filmed at a retail park in Dagenham, east London.

Charlotte Rose Spagnol, who filmed the incident on Tuesday, said the woman had just come out of the Pets at Home store in Merrielands Retail Park.

She posted to a public group saying: 'Does anybody's know who this woman is? I have just witnessed her dragging her small bunny along Aldi Dagenham car park. As you can see this poor baby is so distressed and probably quite hurt,' she said.

'I have reported it to Pets at Home where she had just been to buy the harness and they now want to know who she is. Please share,' Miss Spagnol added.

Slow-motion footage shows the petrified pet frantically trying to move its legs.

Natalie Ann Craig wrote: 'Oh my gosh, that's awful. So evil and cruel.'

Emma Jardine said: 'Why would you have an animal just to drag around!? The poor thing was probably terrified in a car park.'

Miss Spagnol said she was horrified by what she saw: 'Pure shock! I don't know how anyone could think that dragging a bunny along behind them could be a good idea.'
