'I respect her': Rosie O'Donnell dishes on her relationship with Whoopi Goldberg after calling her 'mean'... and addresses rumors she's joining The Talk

Rosie O'Donnell is dishing on infamous feuds and her career highs and lows.

The comedian sat down for a chat with Andy Cohen where she gave an update on where she's at during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Monday.

The 57-year-old opinionated star was asked about her time co-hosting The View in 2014 - which Rosie once called the 'worst experience' - but tried to be 'diplomatic' in the Bravo interview.

A caller then asked Rosie on her current relationship with co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who she called 'as mean as anyone has ever been' in the book Ladies Who Punch, a tell-all book about the behind-the-scenes drama on The View, released in April.

'Well believe it or not, we bumped into each other physically at the Megan Mullally show of her concert in Cafe Carlyle and we were very cordial and said hello,' she said of her communication with Goldberg.

'I worked on a project with her for ABC since this whole McGillicutty occurred. And, you know, I'm always going to respect her. I'm always gonna look up to her.

'She's somebody who was inspirational in my career and, you know, you like to keep those people in a place of reverence if you can. And that's what I'm hoping to do.'

In Ladies Who Punch, written by Ramin Setoodeh Rosie was quoted as saying: 'Whoopi Goldberg was as mean as anyone has ever been on television to me, personally–while I was sitting there,

'Worse than Fox News. The worst experience I've ever had on live television was interacting with her.'

Rosie also touched on rumors she will replace Julie Chen on The Talk after she announced she was stepping down amid the scandal surrounding her husband Les Moonves.

'I just went when Julie Chen was having people fill in,' Rosie explained. 'I was one of the many people. I live in New York; it would be very hard for me to move with my family out to California, so that was never a real thing.'

On rumors she could join The Talk replacing Julie Chen, Rosie said 'It would be very hard for me to move with my family out to California, so that was never a real thing.'

Andy and Rosie agreed that it was probably not the best fit for her anyway as she tends to push conversation into more political areas.

Of her time on The View Rosie recalled,'When I first went on there, I said why are we not talking about all of the things that’s going on in the world,

'So it became a little bit more political.'

As well as giving an update on her beefs with Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Roseanne Barr and Oprah Winfrey, Rosie played a round of Your Rose-ie and Your Thorn where she was asked by Andy to choose the highs and the lows from her career highlights and relationships.

She described her friendship with Madonna as 'all roses' and revealed that they chat almost weekly, mainly via text.

The mother-of-five is currently working towards another HBO special and can next on I Know This Much Is True on HBO.
