Coronation Street star Faye Brookes displayed her slender pins in a chic white frilled dress on Friday, as she celebrated the end of soap tenure with a family dinner in Manchester.

The actress, 31, cut a elegant figure in the delicate dress as she exited The Ivy Restaurant with her family after filming wrapped for her character earlier in the day.

Wow in white like Faye wearing a Missguided dress

Stop what you’re doing because we have found this summer’s ‘IT’ dress courtesy of Faye Brookes.

Spotted celebrating the end of her time on Coronation Street in Machester, Faye opted for this dress by Missguided and it’s safe to say that we are swooning here at Fashion Finder HQ.

We have fallen in love with the razor sharp pleats, flare sleeves and smock style. Perfect for packing in your suitcase but just as suitable to wear with flats to the pub after work, if you haven’t done so already, a smock dress is a must this season.

Faye paraded her jaw-dropping pins in the pretty white dress with bell sleeves and frilled detailing as she exited the eatery with her family.

The brunette beauty finished her look with brown platform heels and a matching nude quilted bag and added some extra sparkle with a pearl-covered headband.

Faye was seen embracing her family as she headed out after marking her departure from Coronation Street in style.

It comes after the star was also seen happily greeting fans outside the Corrie studio, who had been waiting for Faye despite the wet weather.

Faye cut a casual figure as she attempted to dodge the torrential rain while leaving the studios, with her final scenes set to air sometime in September.

The soap star appeared to have been surprised by her co-stars as she had plenty of presents and balloons with her.

Faye happily stopped to meet fans who had been waiting in the wet weather, and delightedly embraced some of them before jumping into a waiting car.

It comes after she was forced to defend her decision to quit the soap, after becoming the fifth successive cast member to announce their departure.

Speaking at the British Soap Awards in May, Faye opened up about her decision to leave the long-running soap.

She told The Sun: 'It's the end of my contract. It’s come to an end. I want to go out on a high.'

Faye's comments come after the popular soap's mass cast exodus, which has seen the exit of seven cast members in just three months.

Among those still to leave are Lucy Fallon (who plays Bethany Platt), Katie McGlynn (Sinead Tinker), Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor) and Tristan Gemmill (Robert Preston).

However, Faye has revealed this may not be the end for Kate and she’s happy ITV bosses have left the door open.

She said: 'I've had a lot of storylines to be fair. I’ve loved my four years. I’m really grateful to Corrie to leave it open ended because it means I can come back.'

Faye joined the hit ITV soap in 2015 as the sister of late Aidan Connor, played by Shayne Ward, and half-sister of Carla Connor, played by Alison King.

Her character recently lost the love of her life on their wedding day and it’s only now been revealed who is to blame for Rana’s death.

An ITV representative confirmed Faye's departure to MailOnline in April, saying: 'Faye is a very talented actress who has put her all into the portrayal of Kate Connor for the past three and a half years, we wish her every success for the future.

'She will be on screen until early Autumn and the door will be left open.'
