Love Island: Fans rejoice as Amber 'gets the last laugh' and picks GREG in dramatic recoupling... but rejected Michael insists they 'won't work'
Love Island saw its most explosive recoupling yet on Friday, as Amber Gill chose Greg O' Shea over her former flame Michael Griffths.
As she struggled with her decision, the beauty admitted the Irish hunk lifted her spirits after Michael left her feeling 'miserable,' leaving the firefighter to be paired up with Francesca.
Fans took to Twitter in droves to celebrate Amber's decision, just as they were quick to slam Michael, as he openly told Amber he doesn't think her new romance with Greg will work.

Explaining her decision, Amber said: 'It's been the hardest decision that I've had to make, I really don't know what the right thing to do is it's hard.
'I've got one boy we've had history, we've had ups and downs but I can't deny there's a connection there and then I've got another guy that's come in and put a smile back on my face when I've been miserable.
'I didn't shut him down after five minutes which was a good sign! It's been hard for me to handle and it's hard to choose whether to go with your heart or your head. Or whether you should go for a mixture of both, it's been hard.'

And as she announce she would be sharing a bed with Greg that night, Michael struggled to hide his disappointment, before being coupled up with Francesca Allen.
But the Essex beauty couldn't resist taking a playful dig at Michael's lothario ways, saying: 'I struggle to find a connection with anyone here, so you're an expert I'm hoping you might be able to teach me a few things, I think you're a great person. And I haven't got really any other choice.'
Regardless fans couldn't hide their delight at the beautician's decision, and took to social media to share their celebration.

Villa funnyman Chris Taylor finally landed a partner in the former of blonde beauty Harley Brash, while Maura Higgins finally coupled with Curtis Pritchard after weeks of longing and a love triangle drama.
Despite being rejected, Michael insisted he wasn't going to 'cry about it,' and seemed to have taken Amber's decision well.
Finally! Elsewhere in the recoupling, Ovie Soko finally found himself in a romantic pairing after being chosen by newcomer India Reynolds

But the following day, this began to seem less and less like the truth, as Michael sat Amber down for a chat, where he admitted his true view on her relationship with Greg.
He said: 'I didn't know how things were going with your two or not, I did tell you I'd give you space. Obviously I've hurt you, I get it from the sense of how I feel about it, I hurt you. I understand but I'm not gonna grovel.'
Amber added: I don't want you to grovel, I just want effort put in, I feel he's just trying to put effort in.'
Oh dear! Despite insisting that he was happy with Amber's decision, the following evening the hunk dropped a bombshell, by admitting he thinks her romance with Greg 'won't work'

Ending the episode on yet another cliffhanger, Michael's words did not sit well with many fans, especially as narrator Iain Stirling announced that after another public vote, one couple would be dumped from the Island in Sunday's show.
As the dumping looms, it seems Amber is no happier with her decision despite opting to couple up with Greg, and fans will have to wait and see whether Michael will survive the wrath of fans, who were quick to brand him a 'snake' by the show's end.
