She was dumped from Love Island after a shocking public vote on Sunday's episode.

And Francesca Allen has urged Joanna to give Michael a second chance and claims he 'made a mistake' by confessing his feelings for Amber before a nail-biting recoupling.  

The Essex boutique owner, 23, believes the couple were 'great together' and that the firefighter became 'confused' by his emotions after Joanna's shock exit from the villa.

She told MailOnline: 'I do think Joanna should give him a second chance. I think Michael is a really good person. He just made a mistake and its really difficult in there as your emotions are heightened in a different way. 

'You can get a little bit confused because you have everyone else's opinions as well.'

'From what I saw they were great together, they got on really, really well.'

But Francesca confessed she had 'no idea' that Michael and Amber had feelings for one another, after he admitted he still liked her despite coupling up with Joanna after Casa Amor.

She said: 'I had no idea about Amber and Michael having feelings for one another until everyone started talking about it. I was a bit oblivious to it.'  

Speaking about her time in the villa, Francesa admitted her shining star through the whole experience was Ovie, as she confessed she 'couldn't have got through the first few days with him'.

She said: 'I couldn't have got through my first few days without Ovie, and he was so welcoming and kind, and he was on my level and understood how I was feeling.

'I'm really happy for Ovie that he's found somebody. He was just sort of waiting around like I was. I wanted someone solely for him and he's found that now.'

She said: 'He seems really happy with Harley and they seem really happy together. He's besotted and waiting on her hand and foot and being a sweet'.  

Discussing the remaining couples, Francesca confessed she thinks Amber and Irish hunk Greg are a 'great match', while she believes Tommy and Molly-Mae could win the show.

Francesca also discussed the 'savage' takedown of Michael in the hilarious recoupling speech on Friday, which saw her struggling for things to say as she admitted she 'had no choice'.

She told him he made 'good cheese toasties' and kicking him while he's down, she said: 'And I don't really have have a choice, so the boy I choose is Michael.'

She said: 'He took it really well. I feel like because we weren't a real couple, I had to poke a little bit of fun at him. Michael could handle it, he was laughing his head off. 

'He actually turned around with me when we got into bed and was like I didn't realise that you were funny. We hadn't really spoken that much prior to it. Everyone was really laughing, they didn't expect it.'
