On Saturday, it was revealed that duo were engaged. 

And one day following their big news, Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix were seen out and about in Los Angeles. 

The couple coordinated in martial arts pants, which is no surprised since they reportedly attend a weekly karate class together.

Rooney, 34, was casually dressed in a T-shirt, tucked into her uniform bottoms. 

The newly-engaged beauty topped off her look with Converse sneakers and yellow-rimmed shades. 

Joaquin, 44, wore a solid black T-shirt along with his uniform pants, but skipped out on shoes.

The couple's outing comes just one day following their engagement revelation.    

Us Weekly confirmed that the happy couple are 'engaged' to be married.  

Rooney was spotted wearing a massive diamond on her ring finger last month, with speculation growing that Joaquin finally popped the question to his leading lady.

Mara and Phoenix first worked together in the 2013 film Her and they started dating three years later in 2016.

They made their red carpet debut in 2017 at the Cannes Film Festival's closing ceremony. 

He later confirmed that the couple were living a private life together in the Hollywood Hills. 

'They don’t really like to go out,' an insider told the publication. 'They mainly just like to be with each other as the two of them. They’re in their own bubble.'
