Emily In Paris tells the story of an American woman in her 20s who moves from the Midwest to the city of love for an unexpected job opportunity.

Leading character Emily must adjust to the challenges of life in a foreign city while balancing her new career, friendships and finding love.

The ten-part series, which is scheduled to air on Paramount Network in 2020, will see actor William Abadie and actresses Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu and Ashley Park join Lily for the comedy-drama.

Lily's appearance comes after she revealed that she would never take on a character who was solely there to be 'eye candy' in a movie or television show.

Speaking to Vulture earlier this year, the actress said: 'It’s not appealing to me to play someone who is just there for, whether it’s eye candy or the female perspective, you need more than that.

'It shouldn’t matter about the gender. It should matter about their drive.'

Lily first hit the screen at the age of two in the BBC drama Growing Pains before going on to star in Mirror Mirror in 2012 and To The Bone in 2017.

Look like Lily in a checked blazer by Veronica Beard

Spotted whilst filming in Paris, Lily Collins' shorts suit caught our attention as she strutted down the pavement.

This uber chic co-ord is by Veoronica Beard, and we love the signature silver buttons and super sharp shoulders.

The double-breasted style creates a flattering silhouette, and the blazer also makes for an easy piece to wear with black wide leg trousers, a jumpsuit, or even your best LBD.

Her recent roles have also seen her play the prostitute Fantine in the BBC's Les Misérables and Liz Kendall, the girlfriend to serial killer Ted Bundy, in the chilling Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.

Speaking about playing the darker characters, she told The Guardian: 'I really enjoy playing these characters that, under the surface, have so much more going on than they are saying, or who seem like they are barely keeping it together.

'I've always believed that asking for help is not a weakness, it's a strength,'

'I have a tattoo that says: ''True delicacy is not a fragile thing.'' You can look delicate, but it doesn't mean that you're fragile.'
