James Argent reveals he's the heaviest he's even been at 24 stone as he admits he could die if he doesn't lose weight
James Argent has revealed he fears for his health after a recent weigh in for his latest reality series showed he is at his heaviest ever weight.
The TOWIE star is taking part in Channel 4's Sink or Swim this month, swimming the Channel with other celebs in aid of Stand Up 2 Cancer.
But in an interview with The Sun, Arg, 31, confessed the health checks he had to undergo in preparation for the monumental challenge has left him worried he could die from his weight battle.

'I've had check-ups. My heart's OK, I have no signs of diabetes and my cholesterol is not too high,' Arg explained.
'But I was weighed and I was the biggest I'd ever been — around 24 stone. I could become ill or die. The swim is an opportunity to sort my life out.''
The reality star, whose former girlfriend Lydia Bright announced her pregnancy on Sunday, added that while he has shed the pounds during training he 'needs to lose about eight more stone' .

'I've got a long way to go even after I swim the Channel. But it's just a perfect way to kick-start my healthy weight loss,' he said.
James proudly showed off his weight loss earlier this month as he posed in his swimming trunks alongside Love Island's Wes Nelson.
Taking to Instagram he revealed he'd 'never worked so hard' in his life, whilst Wes, 21, praised his pal by announcing 'the weight is falling off'.

Arg penned: 'I’ve never worked this hard or been so committed to anything in my life! @wes.nelson has been so supportive & has motivated me.
Wes shared the same snap with his followers, captioned: 'Honestly so proud of @real_arg the weight is falling off 4 weeks out from our big swim across the for stand up to cancer! Let’s get it'.
The TV personalities will be joined by a host of fellow celebrities, including Linford Christie, Georgia Kousoulou and Simon Webbe, as they swim the channel for Channel 4 show, Sink Or Swim!

Arg revealed he would be taking part in the series to help raise money for Stand Up 2 Cancer in honour of his grandfather, who died of prostate cancer,
Arg shared a clip of himself in training with his Instagram followers as he added: 'It’s also a great chance for me to kickstart my healthy lifestyle and weight loss journey!
'I know most people will think I will fail & not do it but I will prove those doubters wrong just like I did with the Marathon. I won’t let myself or anyone down.
'I’m working so hard in order to pass the medical & assessment before I even take on this massive challenge x'

Arg recently revealed the fatal warning he has been issued by doctors after his recent weight gain.
Taking to Instagram in April, the former star posed in a boxing ring alongside a duo of trainers while adding the eerie caption: 'I’ve been warned I’m on “Death Row” because of my weight gain!'
He referenced his changing shape in the caption while vowing to 'make life changes' after years of his weight going up and down, with a worrying effect.
