No Time To Die will be the fifth and final James Bond movie to star Daniel as the secret agent 007, after he first took on the role in 2006’s Casino Royale, and subsequently starred in Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre.

The film, which also stars Naomie Harris, Lea Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas, Ralph Fiennes and Ben Whishaw, sees Rami Malek take on the role of an as-yet-untitled villain.

Rami previously promised he 'won't give Mr Bond an easy ride' in the explosive next chapter of the franchise, when he appeared live via videolink during a cast Q&A at Goldeneye earlier this year.

The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye also revealed in July that Christoph Waltz, the Oscar-winning actor who played the diabolical villain Blofeld in Spectre three years ago, has been filming scenes at Pinewood studios, for the latest adventure based on Ian Fleming’s thrillers about 007.

Meanwhile, Daniel underwent an operation as a result of tweaking his ankle ligaments after falling during filming for a high-octane scene in Jamaica back in May.

The actor's surgery was followed by two weeks of rehabilitation last month, causing delays to filming the upcoming flick.

The official Twitter account for No Time To Die released a statement concerning his injuries at the time, which stated: 'Daniel Craig will be undergoing minor ankle surgery resulting from an injury sustained during filming in Jamaica.

'Production will continue whilst Craig is rehabilitating for two weeks post-surgery. The film remains on track for the same release date in April 2020'.

Daniel has since returned to set, as he was spotted filming scenes on London's Southbank in July, alongside co-star Fiennes.

As of the time of writing, the artist lined up for the coveted role of recording the theme tune to the movie has not yet been announced, but it was previously claimed Daniel was keen to get Ed Sheeran on board.

A source told The Sunday Mirror: 'Daniel was introduced to Ed's music by his daughter Ella. She loves Ed, and Daniel now really likes his stuff too and wants Ed for the theme tune.'

Daniel is also a producer for No Time To Die and has 'huge sway' over decisions concerning the movie, and so could get his way.

But bosses are also looking to Adele - who performed the theme to 2012's 'Skyfall' with a song of the same name - to take on a second theme, as well as "other artists" who are said to be in the running.

Filming locations for the 25th instalment in the Bond franchise include Jamaica, Norway, Italy and England, but relocation to the Scottish Highlands suggests the iconic secret agent will also revisit the childhood home fans previously saw in box-office hit Skyfall.

It has been claimed the screenplay for the film is being endlessly re-written by a committee consisting of director Fukunaga, Waller-Bridge and 007 himself, Craig.

'She's writing a re-write of a re-write,' a source told the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye of Waller-Bridge's recent involvement in the project.

'Daniel's writing. Cary's writing. The crew reckon they're working on a well-polished s**t show.

'They have an outline of plot, but dialogue is all last-minute. It's not the way to make a movie. I would imagine they'll sort it out in the cutting room. That's where most movies get made anyway. But you'd think the Bond lot would be more together.'

James Bond 25 is scheduled for release on April 3 2020 in the United Kingdom and April 8 2020 in the United States.
