This Morning thrown into chaos as a helicopter unexpectedly lands beside John Torode during cooking segment and blows his food away

This Morning was thrown into chaos on Friday's show when a helicopter unexpectedly landed beside John Torode during his cooking segment, blowing his food away.

Viewers of the ITV stalwart were left in stitches when a chopper appeared out of nowhere in the midst of the live cooking demo from Chesil Beach, Dorset.

While showing those at home how to make a delicious crab linguine, John failed to tell presenters Davina McCall and Rochelle Humes as well as viewers that their location was located beside a helicopter landing pad.

As the hosts went live to John, a helicopter appeared in shot and continued to get closer to their location.

Trying to be a consummate professional, John continued to cook, despite Davina, 51, and Rochelle, 30, quizzing him about the approaching chopper.

Just about flying over John's head, a gust of wind, caused by the approaching rotorcraft, forcibly blew the contents of the table away while the crew were left holding onto their equipment for dear life.

As the camera panned back to cooking demo, the Masterchef judge was seen holding on tight to his boiling hot pot of pasta while his tablecloth and other produce began frantically leaving the table.

In the hilarious clip, John tried hard not to laugh as he revealed several of his food items had disappeared as the helicopter attempted to land, which left the presenters truly tickled.

Proving his professionalism, he managed to finish the segment, albeit a few items missing, without anymore disruptions.

Both Rochelle and Davina were quick to praise him for pulling the dish off as John admitted he didn't think a helicopter was due to land during their segment.

It wasn't only the presenters who found the moment hilarious but also many people at home, who couldn't help but brand it, 'TV gold', on Twitter.

Be seen in green like Davina wearing a dress from Whistles

Davina McCall and Rochelle Humes made a great double act on This Morning today. But we can't decide whose outfit we like best!

Rochelle rocked a leather pencil skirt from H&M, whilst Davina made a case for the pretty floral midi dress. We love the striking shade of green, as well as the floaty little sleeves and button down front on this style.

It's from Whistles and if you're tempted to add it to your own wardrobe then click (right) to buy it now. It's going to work really well with trainers or heels, and you can totally layer it up when it starts to get chilly.

Or for more gorgeous green options, our edit below is the place to go. This Topshop dress has got your name written all over it...!

'Actually creasing at a helicopter flying over John Torode and blowing half his ingredients away,' a fan posted on the micro-blogging site.

Meanwhile, Friday's This Morning saw Rochelle and Davina once again team up as hosts, after delighting viewers with their first presenting stint last week.

The pair couldn't hide their delight as the weather forecast predicted sunshine for the Bank Holiday Weekend, after one of the wettest Augusts on record.
