Gemma Collins EXCLUSIVE: Star has relocated to a 'massive house with pink carpets in the country' where she watches Planet Of The Apes and YouTube videos of elephants on loop

Gemma Collins has ditched Brentwood for life in the country.

The reality queen, 38, has revealed to MailOnline that she has relocated to a 'massive' property 'off the beaten track' in the sticks, where she can appreciate nature more.

Ahead of an appearance on MTV series Cribs, the star told us that she can finally call her new place 'home'.

'I've moved to the country,' she declared. 'I love London, and obviously one day I'd like to move to LA, but for now it's the country and I love it.

'This is my favourite time of year [autumn] and, to be honest, I have had the best summer ever. I have been everywhere. But I love it in the country, with the trees and the nature and the rain. And autumn is a time for change. I am in my own little zone here.'

Gemma's new property is a sizable pile, in an area that's 'all a bit posh'.

And the best thing about it, she says, is that 'no-one knows who I am here'.

'I can just go to the market, the farm shop... I am so happy here. I can finally say "there’s no place like home". I am just settled here. It's just been absolutely cosmic ordering.'

Gemma has thrown herself into country living, spurred on by her love of wildlife and animals.

'I want to take up horse riding,' she said. 'I am fascinated by animals and so stressed about cruelty to animals, it upsets me so much. I love elephants. I just go home and watch clips of elephants on YouTube.

'I really want to start changing the Earth really.'

Gemma also admitted she spends a lot of her downtime re-watching the Planet Of The Apes movies.

'I love Helena Bonham Carter in those,' she said. 'My friends ask me what I'm up to at home and I'll tell them I'm watching Planet Of The Apes and they'll be like "oh not again Gem!"

'I want to be in a Planet Of The Apes film. That would be my dream come true.'

Gemma is not shy about being proud of her achievements, since soaring to fame in 2011 on The Only Way Is Essex as a car saleswoman. And she is the first to gush about her 'normal background'.

'I'm proud to show you can do anything and live your dreams. I have come from a three-bed semi-detached to this.

'And then Cribs called me up and said "GC we wanna film your crib!"'

The issue was that Gemma was in the process of moving at the time, and so her new home doesn't actually feature on the show.

'They said "we really want you, the channel want you" so I thought, okay, I am going to take them back to my school, where I worked, my shop. And to my family home. And we did not stop laughing.

'This show is me at my best, I am obsessed with it. So much happened – it was hilarious.'

Gemma is more than happy for a follow-up episode to take place, now she has settled into her new pad.

'They can come back any time night or day. They can move in, see my pink carpet. I absolutely adore them.'
