Paloma Faith stuns in statement black dress with billowing puffed sleeves as she attends Simone Rocha's London Fashion Week show

And Paloma Faith was certainly dressed to impress in an eccentric black ensemble as she sat front row at Simone Rocha's London Fashion Week show at Alexandra Palace theatre on Sunday. 

The Upside Down singer, 38, ensured all eyes were on her in a statement frock, which featured billowing puffed sleeves, an oversized collar and a gathered hem.

Proving she is a style queen, the hitmaker cinched her dress at the waist with a belt, opting for knee-high sheer stockings and pointed patent shoes.

Paloma ensured her accessories were eye-catching as she toted a black doctor's bag with pearl detail and amped up the glam with a sparkling beaded headband.

The Just Be singer wore her blonde tresses in loose curls, opting for simple makeup and a black manicure to complement her ensemble. 

Also attending the show was Alexa Chung, who wowed in a show-stopping outfit as she attended Simone Rocha's London Fashion Week show at Alexandra Palace theatre.

The model wore a stunning pink organza trench coat with a tan-coloured collar and belt, pairing it with jeans and white trainers from her collaboration with Superga. 

Paloma, who is set to play villain Bet Sykes in Batman prequel Pennyworth, recently revealed she used her experiences growing up in Hackney, London, and attending a state school to help channel her character's dark side.  

The singer told Bustle UK: 'My childhood at home wasn’t always perfect. Without giving too much information I was drawing from my own childhood experiences and what violence I have seen growing up.'

'I know what a fight looks like and I know how to execute one because London's a pretty violent place when you’re growing up in those circumstances,' she continued.

Paloma went on to say she was drawn to the role of Bet because she is 'very complicated' and felt 'this character is speaking to me in a way that not many scripts have.'

While she 'quite liked' playing a villain, as she added: 'I found it quite cathartic. I’ve never been violent in my life but I feel like it’s some of the best therapy I’ve ever had.'

The series is based around Bob Kane and Bill Finger’s DC characters and will follow Bruce Wayne’s iconic butler Alfred Pennyworth.

Set in London, in the 1960s, the show will follow the former British SAS soldier as he creates a security company and goes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne - future father to the man behind Batman. 

The ten episode series will air in the UK later this autumn.
