The first Strictly Come Dancing 2019 live show hits screens on Saturday, and to celebrate glam partner photos have been unveiled.

New couple Oti Mabuse and Kelvin Fletcher lead the way, posing together after the ex Emmerdale star was drafted in to replace injured Jamie Laing two weeks ago.

Speaking to the Radio Times, Kelvin admitted he had just an hour to make his decision about whether to join the show.

'I didn’t anticipate this at all! I suddenly received a call from my agent offering me the chance to do Strictly and I had to make the decision within an hour or two,' he explained.

'I was doing a different job towards the end of the year so I had to change my plans, but it was a no-brainer. I’d met the Strictly producers previously so they’d already had a taste of me and what I was about but I was straight in at the deep end.

Oti meanwhile admitted she was 'devastated' when Made In Chelsea star Jamie had to pull out of the show after injuring his foot during rehearsals, and the pro initially thought she'd be left without a partner.

'I had a long, tearful conversation with him. For a while I thought I had no partner and I was in bed all day thinking, “I can’t do the show!” In moments like that you realise how much you love something,' she said.

'I was feeling really bad, but one of the producers said, “We’ll see what we can do.” When they called and told me about Kelvin, I cried – and it turns out he’s incredible!'

Fans found out the pairings during the first show of the new series earlier this month, with the couples having spent the past two weeks perfecting their moves in time for the debut live show.

The show has already had its fair share of injuries with Jamie forced to pull out after damaging a tendon while performing the first group dance.

Anneka Rice, this series' oldest celeb at 60, also faced an agonising wait to see if she could continue in the show after injuring her shoulder during a fall just weeks after signing up.

The TV star had to skip the first group dance in the opening show after aggravating the injury during rehearsals, as she explained to the Radio Times:

'Anton Du Beke spontaneously threw me up in the air and over his shoulders before I had time to say “By the way, my shoulder is…” And just like that, on the medic’s instructions, I was out of the group dance.'

Luckily Anneka has recovered and has been paired with reigning champion Kevin Clifton.

Strictly is back on screens on Saturday at 7pm on BBC One.
