Blink-182 co-founder Tom DeLonge files for divorce from wife of nearly two decades

Former Blink-182 singer and co-founder Tom DeLonge has split with his wife after near two decades of marriage.

DeLonge, 43, filed for divorce from Jennifer DeLonge (formerly Jennifer Jenkins) in San Diego County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

Turns out they first split nearly two years ago, listing their separation date on the documents as being December 29, 2017.

The former couple, who are high school sweethearts, have been married since 2001 and share two kids together: daughter Ava, 17, and a son Jonas, 13.

DeLonge is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their kids.

He also wants the court to help work out with the various spousal support options.

Delonge formed Blink-182 with bassist-vocalist Mark Hoppus when they were in high school in Southern California in 1992.

They went on to to achieve huge success after drummer Travis Barker joined the band for the recording of their 1999 hit studio album Enema Of The State.

In 2005, Delonge formed his side rock band/art project Angeles & Airwaves, which is set to release its sixth studio album soon.

After a few lengthy hiatuses from Blink-182 over the years, DeLonge left the band in 2015 and was replaced by Alkaline Trio vocalist Matt Skiba.

In the years since leaving Blink, DeLonge founded To The Stars Academy Of Arts And Sciences, an organization focused on the study of UFOs and extraterrestrial life.

He has also worked on Angels & Airways-related films, a comic book series, a children's book and has said to aspire to co-write 15 novels with best-selling authors.
