And now, Forest Whitaker will return to the screen to play notorious gangster Bumpy Johnson in the new Stan series, Godfathers of Harlem.
In a trailer for the series - to be released on October 1 - Forest lights up the screen as the 1960s New York City crime boss.

Showing the one-time powerful gangster has become a fish out of water, his wife Mayme Johnson - played by Ilfenesh Hadera - welcomes his home.
'So much has changed in Harlem since you were gone,' she tells the gangster.
'I just know you will get right back into the swing of things.'

The preview continues with Bumpy Johnson facing off against the Italian mob, who have taken over the street since he has been in jail.
Amid the backroom gun culture with the Genovese crime family, Bumpy then gets into politics.
During the brutal battle, he forms an alliance with radical preacher Malcolm X - who is played by Nigel Thatch.
