And it was a match made in heaven with her former partner, Val Chmerkovskiy.

The model said if she came back, she would want to be paired with him again.

Christie continued to gush over how proud she was of her daughter and said she's been extremely emotional ever since the incident occurred late last week.

'I’ve been so emotional since the second I picked myself off the ground. It’s been an emotional roller coaster,' she expressed.

'It started with me feeling like I let everybody down and searching for a silver lining, and when I thought, "Wait a minute, maybe Sailor could do this," that felt so right to me.'

Christie continued to explain that while her youngest daughter had a hard time with the idea in the beginning, she came around.

'At first she couldn’t quite see it... "I’m not show bizzy like you, Mom. I can’t do this," then she started saying, "But I can do this for you and I will try"… I think she is going to discover a real passion in dancing.'

And it appears as though her mom did know best, with Sailor adding: 'I feel like I already discovered it.

'I feel like I did the best that I can do and I had a lot of fun with it, so that made me happy.'

Christie recalled the exact moment she knew her arm was broken to People magazine on Tuesday.

The supermodel said between tears: 'The second I landed, I felt shards in my arm. Like, literally felt it in my wrist, and I just instantly looked up and said, "I'm so sorry, I broke my arm".'

'There's a little bone at the thumb that usually posts one way. Mine was in the opposite direction. Then there was bone, just it, it was just shattered into a thousand little pieces, just a million of little pieces.'

Christie's fall saw her undergo surgery on Friday where doctors inserted screws and a plate to repair her arm.

She also dislocated her wrist as well.
