Before showing her audience a shot of the three-month-old dog, DeGeneres gushed: 'She's so cute! I can't even take it.'

DeGeneres and wife Portia De Rossi adopted Mrs. Wallis Browning, a.k.a. Wallis, last Wednesday.

And ever since, the Louisiana native has been carried away with taking photos of her.

'I had to get another phone,' she said. 'My battery was running low. I mean, literally, I was picking up the phone [for] everything she did.'

According to DeGeneres, Wallis was rescued from some 'irresponsible' owners.

'She was kept in a cage outside in the desert since she was two months old—just on the ground in the cage,' she explained.

'So, she was never able to run; she never had a toy; she never wagged her tail; she never lived next-door to Oprah [Winfrey]. It's all changed. It's all different now.'

Although DeGeneres and De Rossi welcomed Wallis with open arms, their three existing dogs - Wolf, Augie, and Kid - couldn't help but get a bit jealous.

'They were mad,' DeGeneres quipped. 'I think they realized they're going to have to split my fortune an extra way.'

She also aired a clip of Wallis having a run on the grass and having her first-time experience with a squeaky toy.

'Now, if anybody else made that noise over and over again, I would sue them,' DeGeneres said.

'But when Wallis does it, it's adorable because she's never had a toy. So, she just walks around with that toy.'

DeGeneres added that she and De Rossi's experience with Wallis has made them feel like 'new parents,' especially as they attempt to crate train her.

'It gives me new respect for moms that have babies because, to worry about your baby in a crate, I can't even imagine,' she said.

She went on to applaud Wagmor for assisting her with the adoption, then encouraged the audience to adopt Wallis' mother and brothers via their services.

'If you ever wanted to be related to me, this is your chance,' she joked.

DeGeneres and De Rossi have been married since 2008.
