Fans are also not allowed to have their phones in the theater.
Madonna is starting a different type of tour in support of Madame X, her fourteenth studio album: instead of a typical arena or stadium tour for a star of her stature, she will be playing in smaller venues like BAM in New York and The Wiltern in Los Angeles.
She has been documenting the rehearsal process extensively on her Instagram and Twitter accounts, which has further fueled fans' excitement.
Madonna has also kept some of her children close to her during preparations for the show, often posting pictures and videos showing her seven-year-old twin daughters Stelle and Estere dancing or playing alongside rehearsals.
