The blonde beauty - best known for Chicago and Bridget Jones's Diary - sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to talk about her new film Judy, about Judy Garland's last year of her life.

And during her interview, the Texas native said she really did sing in the movie and even had 'stage fright' when she had to perform in front of a real, live audience.

'I did Judy and as soon as I got home I did What/If. It was so much fun to play. It was really fun. I looked at the script every day and I was like, "She said what?"' said the star with a country twang in her voice.

As far as transforming to a blonde bombshell actress to a Hollywood vet, Renee said she wore a 'fantastic wig' and then did some tiny prosthetics.
