Moby debuts 'VEGAN FOR LIFE' neck tattoo after claiming that 'animal rights and liberation is my life's work'

Moby has had 'VEGAN FOR LIFE' tattooed onto his neck.

The Bodyrock singer, 54, showed it off at the Mercy For Animals 20th Anniversary Gala at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles over the weekend - and displayed it on Instagram afterwards.

The musician, real name Richard Melville Hall, captioned the snap: 'I’ve been a vegan for almost 32 years, so getting this tattoo seemed like a pretty safe bet.

'Also, working for animal rights and animal liberation is my life’s work.

'And to state the obvious, it’s a double entendre...'

The tattooist responsible for the inking was Kat Von D - whom he tagged in the post.

She was on US reality show LA Ink and is a well-known animal rights activist. She also has a make-up brand, which is vegan and cruelty free.

The Instagram post received a comment from PETA, who commented: 'We LOVE it! Your dedication to helping animals is far beyond the commitment to this tattoo.'

Moby also owns Little Pine, a vegan restaurant in Los Angeles - another way of advocating a plant-based lifestyle.

There's also his music festival, Circle V, which raises money for animal protection charity Mercy for Animals.

He said in a previous post on Instagram: 'I’m a vegan and an animal rights activist for myriad reasons.

'Human health, climate change, antibiotic resistance, etc, but ultimately I’m a vegan and an animal rights activist because I believe that every animal is entitled to live their life according to their own will.'
