Last week, while rehearsing for the season, that premiered on Monday, Christie tripped and fell, breaking her arm.

And on Monday night, she broke down in tears as she recalled the exact moment she knew her arm was broken to People magazine.

The supermodel said between tears: 'The second I landed, I felt shards in my arm. Like, literally felt it in my wrist, and I just instantly looked up and said, "I'm so sorry, I broke my arm."'

For mom: 'I didn't want to at first, honestly,' Sailor admitted to People. 'I was terrified. It was a very scary thing for me. The whole idea of having to be live on stage, be on TV dancing, that's something I've never done before
To get through fear: She said her fear drove her to compete 'I was so scared, but that was the reason I had to do it,' she continues. 'I had to surpass the fear. I had to be stronger than the things that scare me'

The fall left her with multiple broken bones and needing a surgery to place a plate and screws into her arm.

Luckily her daughter was able to take her place, though she initially was nervous to join the cast.
