She's a busy actress with a new movie due out on Monday in Europe and several others in the works.

But Naomi Watts made sure she had time to enjoy a walk with her beloved Yorkshire terrier Bob in New York City on Wednesday.

The star, 50, was casually dressed in a stripey black and white, long-sleeved T-shirt and grey velour pants with white chevrons at one knee as she strolled along.

Her blonde tresses were not brushed and she didn't appear to be wearing much in the way of make up.

Her tiny Yorkie appeared to be enjoying his time out, sniffing at things as they went. He was chic in a Burberry harness.

Naomi's The Wolf Hour premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah on January 26 and is set to hit the big screen in the Netherlands on Monday.

Meanwhile, she has been filming Penguin Bloom with Walking Dead star Andrew Lincoln, 46, at locations worldwide.

They recently wrapped in Sydney, Australia and on Friday Naomi posted a snap of her, Andrew and director Bruna Papandrea playing cards over breakfast at an airport in Thailand.

Naomi captioned it: 'One last round at the lounge... with zero hours of sleep after monumental shoot in Thailand.

'Even though I am dead, we are #thewalkingdead I live for this game!! And these people too. #PenguinBloom @brunapapandrea #andrewlincoln.'

So far there's no word on when the film will premiere.

Probably more exciting for Game Of Thrones fans is that Naomi has a role in the prequel. Reportedly called Blood Moon, it's set 5,000 years before the events of the main series and follows the story of the Children Of The Forest.

Whilst Naomi's exact character details are being kept under wraps, it was reported she'll be playing 'a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret,' according to Variety.

The actress is 'super thrilled' to be apart of the new HBO spinoff, which just wrapped filming the pilot in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The Academy Award winner dished a few details at the premiere of her new movie Luce, on September 5. 'It's such a great group of people. And they did such a great job,' Naomi said.

She has been bombarded with questions about the show and what fans of the series can expect, but she has been keeping mum. 'It was one of the most phenomenal things that's happened on TV… I'm super excited. That's all I can say.'
