Kim Kardashian opens up about her last run-in with OJ Simpson on her friend Jonathan Cheban's podcast: 'I started crying, it was emotional'
Kim Kardashian is inextricably linked to one of the biggest criminal trials in legal history, since her late father Robert Kardashian was one of OJ Simpson's defense attorneys when he was tried for the murders of ex-wife Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman.
Although she was only a child when the trial was unfolding in the mid-Nineties, Kim remembers OJ, who was a friend to her father, and she recalled the last time she crossed paths with him while chatting with her friend Jonathan Cheban on his most recent podcast episode.
'I think the last time I saw him was in Miami. It was before he had gone to jail for this, you know, last situation,' Kim recalled, referring to OJ's time spent in prison from 2008 to 2017 for armed robbery and kidnapping in Las Vegas.

'I think me, Kourtney and Khloe were in Miami in a club, and we ran into him in the VIP section. It was behind a stage or something. I don’t even know what club it was at. I started crying. It was emotional, I think,' the reality star reminisced.
She went on to say that she usually remains tight-lipped with regard to OJ and the infamous trial, out of respect for the children involved.
'I don’t really talk about it,' Kim told Jonathan. 'I just, you know, his kids are all so amazing, and Nicole’s kids. And I’m still somewhat friendly with his children. I don’t really talk to them, but I did connect with his son a few years back, and I just have respect for them.'
Kim was referring to OJ and Nicole's son Justin, now 31. The couple also had a daughter, Sydney, who is now 33. OJ also has two other older children from a previous marriage.

'Their lives must be extremely hard, to really go through that, so I always try to just keep to myself on that issue and not bring anything up for them.'
Kim stressed the fact that she knows what it's like growing up in the public spotlight all too well, and how when others discuss intimate details from her past, it can be troubling.
'Every time someone does, it’s super traumatic. There’s nothing worse than when someone you knew from your childhood just starts talking about your life. I’ve seen that happen with people that have been close to us, and they just start talking about us as kids, and they really don’t know us now,' she confided.
