And leading the way were hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman who put on a sensational display in stylish jumpsuits.

Tess looked incredible in the figure-hugging ensemble which had flared legs and a jewel-encrusted top.

She wore her blonde locks in a glossy curly blow-dried hairdo while opting for dewy make-up to best showcase her age-defying complexion and youthful skin.

As ever, Claudia went for an edgier look than her co-star as she wore an off-the-shoulder black jumpsuit with flared legs.

The presenter styled her signature brunette locks and fringe into a tousled hairdo, adding a slick of make-up which included her favourite heavy eyeliner and bronzer.

Speaking previously about her role on the show, Claudia confessed she struggles with watching herself back, despite her dazzling good looks and chic style.

She said: ' I actually can’t watch myself on TV without being physically sick. Damn, it’s falling apart.

'I have a huge fringe and I wear enough eyeliner to kill a clown. I mean, a lot of people find it repellent, but I’m too old to start changing.'

Strictly fans were delighted on Saturday as the show made a dazzling comeback with a legion of stars making their debut with the pros.

Ravish in red like Tess wearing Antonio Berardi

Da da da da da da daaa, da da da da da - yes it's that time of year people, when Strictly is back to grace our Saturday night screens.

The dynamite duo Tess and Claudia have brought back Saturday night style and kicking off for the first week, we have Tess Daly in a statement red jumpsuit by Antonio Berardi.

Tess looks the optime of glam, week after week, and it's all thanks to her super stylist James Yardley. For opening night, he's teamed the look with Jimmy Choo heels, a David Robinson necklace and earrings from The Hoop station.

The accessories have been kept to a minimum, so as not to take away from this ketchup red number.

The TV presenter looks effortlessly glamorous as ever (srsly, does she ever have a bad day?) with tousled blond locks and matching killer red lipstick.

Berardi is a favoured British designer, so it would seem fitting Tess has chosen to wear one of his fabulous designs for this oh so British tradition.

Copy Tess and go for a tailored trouser and bandeau top, to take the all-in-one from day to night. Click (right) to snap up this gem, or check out our other showstopper optiosn below.
