Gwyneth Paltrow presents the prestigious Lead Actress prize to Jodie Comer as she joins husband Brad Falchuk at the 2019 Emmy Awards

She collaborated with her husband while starring in the upcoming Netflix comedy The Politician.

And Gwyneth Paltrow, 46, appeared in great spirits as she presented the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series prize to Killing Eve star Jodie Comer during the 71st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards at LA's Microsoft Theatre on Sunday evening.

The Avengers: Endgame actress was in good company as she joined husband Brad Falchuk, 48 - who's TV show Pose lost out on the Outstanding Drama Series gong - at the prestigious industry event.

Gwyneth's dress featured a floor-length section of gleaming cream-colored fabric that highlighted her slender figure.

The look got more adventurous the higher up it went, with a black strip over her bust and a dark sheer panel that showcased her cleavage.

The dress included sheer sleeves that culminated in large feathered strips of fabric that extended all the way to the ground and nearly swallowed up her hands.

The 5ft9in beauty had her long blonde locks parted down the middle and draped over her shoulders.

Channel old-school glamour like Gwyneth in vintage Valentino

It was a star-studded affair at the Emmy Awards 2019 and iconic actress Gwyneth Paltrow certainly looked the part!

Styled by Elizabeth Saltzman, the A-lister channeled old-school Hollywood glamour in a dress that hails from the Valentino Haute Couture spring/summer 1963 collection. We're loving the vintage vibes!

The cream satin column skirt is incredibly elegant, along with the contrasting sheer sleeves and velvet strip, but it's the elongated feathered tulle sleeves that really add that certain je ne sais quoi.

Heels by Giuseppe Zanotti and jewellery by Harry Winston then finished the look off perfectly.

She added some bling to her look with vintage Harry Winston hoop earrings.

Meanwhile the actress's beauty look for the night was created by celebrity makeup artist Georgie Eisdell for Pat McGrath Labs, who prepped Gwyneth's skin with products from her own Goop range - including the Goop Glow Microderm Instant Glow Exfoliator and the Goop by Juice Beauty Enriching Face Oil - before moving on to the base.

For that, Georgie used Pat's Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Primer, Foundation, and Powder to give the actress a stunning glow.

Her eyes were given a subtle nude sheen courtesy of the Mothership I: Subliminal Eyeshadow Palette, before further definition was added with the Perma Precision Liquid Eyeliner, the Permagel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil and the FetishEyes Mascara.

The final step in the process was the glossy nude lip, which was the result of four different products: Lip Fetish Lip Balm, Permagel Ultra Glide Lip Pencil, BlitzTrance Lipstick, and the Lust: Gloss.

After she took to the stage to present the Lead Actress award to Jodie, TV writer Brad was every inch the supportive husband as he shared a sweet message in support of his partner's appearance.

He penned: 'emmys2019 congrats to all of the amazing winners! Especially @theebillyporter - making history! #bestpresenteraward @gwynethpaltrow.' [sic]

Brad had on a classic black tuxedo which he paired with patent leather shoes while displaying a shaggy swept back hairdo.

His series Pose was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, but missed out on the prize to HBO favourite Game Of Thrones.

Pose star Billy Porter became the first openly gay black man to win Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Pray Tell.

Jessica Lange was also nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama for her role on American Horror Story: Apocalypse.

The scary series was created by Falchuk along with his regular collaborator Ryan Murphy.

Gwyneth's new collaboration with her husband, Netflix's The Politician, will be released on September 27.

The comedy series stars Broadway sensation Ben Platt as Payton Hobart, a high school student in Santa Barbara, California, who comes from a wealthy family.

His ultimate aspiration is to be President of the United States, though he'll start his ascent by running for class president.

Gwyneth stars as Payton's mother Georgina Hobart, and each season is planned to follow a different election in his political career.

Despite having been married to Brad since last year, the Royal Tenenbaums star recently announced that the two had finally moved in together.

'Married life has been really good. We took a year to let everybody [in the family] take it in and let the dust settle. And now we’re moving in together this month,' she told InStyle in August.

'I adore my husband. He’s brilliant and deeply kind. I feel like he’s a real equal too. And he pushes me in the best ways. I really like being married. It’s fun.'

The couple first met in 2010, when Gwyneth filmed a guest role on his Fox high school comedy Glee.

The part won her an Emmy of her own the following year.
