They excitedly took to the ballroom floor for the fourth live week of Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night.

But Michelle Visage suffered a slight mishap when she accidentally headbutted her partner Giovanni Pernice during their Salsa routine.

The RuPaul's Drag Race judge, 51, looked slightly shaken as the duo met the judges and Shirley Ballas asked: 'You had a little bit of a mishap, are you okay?'

It was then that Michelle revealed she had hit Giovanni in the head towards the end of their routine.

Despite almost suffering a nasty injury, the pair still delighted the panel with a hot and spicy salsa to Quimbara by Johnny Pacheco and Celia Cruz. 

Shirley praised Michelle and Giovanni: 'Subtle and you oozed sensuality every single pore of your body gives me rhythm, it gives me a nightclub feel,it has the right feel so I think you did great.'

While Bruno Tonioli added: 'I could savour the Latin flavour full of colour and spice and gay abandon, people say Salsa is so easy but it's not, it has to look spontaneous.' 

Motsi Mabuse went on: 'Usually the Salsa are always slowed down, but you attacked it and you were fierce. I love the body isolation, because that came from within. You were cheeky, you were hot, I like that salsa.' 

The pair earned a respectable 31 points out of 40, and despite a few mishaps still received positive comments from the panel with Craig particularly nothing the dance still looked spontaneous despite the choreography.

Fans of the show took to Twitter to joke with Michelle about the unfortunate mishap, as some made tongue-in-cheek references to RuPaul's Drag Race catchphrase 'how's your head?' 

Meanwhile, one wrote: 'Didn't even realise they banged heads because I was rooting for her so much yasss (sic).'

Another went on: 'Apart from that unfortunate clonking of heads at the end, I was enjoying that all the way through. I was shimmying on the sofa as I watched it.'

This fourth live show certainly saw a massive shake-up on the leader board, meaning that the floor is wide open as to who could be eliminated from the show. 

Strictly Come Dancing: The Results airs on Sunday at 7:15pm on BBC One.
