The family will arrive in Mumbai and try to get to know the culture, visiting the city's most iconic sights, and hope to seek out long lost relatives.
The journey will also take them to the beautiful tranquil beaches of Goa as they fully immerse themselves into the country that plays a huge part in their family history.
The Thomas brothers, who hail from Manchester, are all 'incredibly excited' to get filming the series, which will be produced by MultiStory Media North.

'On the flip side we can't wait to find out more about our roots but we are also a little worried as we're heading into the unknown. I have no doubt it's going to be a trip we'll never forget.'

Earlier this week, Ryan's fiancée Lucy told her Instagram followers the couple were preparing to spend a month apart, presumably while the actor films his new show in India.
In a video shared on her Instagram account, Ryan ran along a train platform waving goodbye as Lucy pulled out of Stockport station.
Captioning the footage, the TV personality wrote: 'A month apart. Ganna miss this crazy man! @ryanthomas84 [sic],' followed by a heart emoji.
Lucy took to Instagram on the evening of her 28th birthday to announce she was expecting her first child with Ryan and debuted her blossoming baby bump in a figure-hugging red dress.
The couple later confirmed they are having a baby boy.
Ryan also raises daughter Scarlett with his ex-girlfriend and former Coronation Street co-star Tina O'Brien, 35, who he was in a relationship with for six years.
