Kim Kardashian made sure she had a plan just in case Psalm was born while she was at the Met Gala
When the date of the annual New York fashion bonanza came close to her surrogate's expected due date, the reality star arranged for sister Khloe to stand by just in case anything happened, as was revealed on the last episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Though Psalm didn't come during the May 6 gala, the timing was certainly close. Kim's baby boy was welcomed into the world just days later on May 9 in LA.

Oh baby! Though Psalm didn't come during the May 6 gala, the timing was certainly close. Kim's baby boy was welcomed into the world just days later
Kim made it clear she wasn't going to miss the event, especially since she was Vogue's May cover girl.
In a confessional video she told the cameras: 'I just have to get to the Met and back before the baby comes.'
'[The surrogate] is due in eight days, but I'm gonna stay committed to the Met. I mean, it has taken eight months to get our Met look perfect, and I committed to it and I can't miss this.'
'I just hope she doesn’t have the baby early,' Kim went on.

'My attorney has my sister's number,' Kim told her surrogate, reminding the surrogate: '...I'm gonna be with two of my sisters, and my mom and my husband. Khloé is hoping that this will happen while I'm gone because she wants the baby.'
Kim was anxious when the day of the gala finally arrived.
High stress: When Kim sat down to prep her hair and makeup on the day of the gala she admitted her worries were 'through the roof'

'My anxiety is through the roof. But luckily I haven't heard from my surrogate so I hope there's no emergency today, and we make it through tomorrow when we get home.'
Luckily Psalm wasn't born until days later on May 9.
The now five-month-old is the youngest of Kim's kids with Kanye West. They also share daughter North, six, as well as son Saint, three, and daughter Chicago, one.
