War of words: Coleen (pictured) accused Rebekah of leaking stories about her to The Sun newspaper, but the latter has firmly refuted the allegations
The star spoke to Closer magazine about life as a footballers' wife and vowed not to make friends with his teammates' wives and girlfriends 'just because their partners are on the same team'.
She said: 'I've learnt not to rise to what people saw. Before, I would feed their fire and now I don't. Unless it's something I feel strongly about that should be highlighted - then I'll put it out there and say how I feel.
'Just because I'm Jamie's wife, doesn't define who I am. It doesn't define all the other wives and who they are. There are some people who are part of the WAG community and that's not me. It's a very fake world...
'When you're forced into friendships or forced to become friends with someone because your husbands [play together], it's weird. I don't buy into fake friends. I won't be friends with someone because their husband plays for the same team'.

Rebekah has returned to the UK from Dubai after being accused by Coleen of leaking stories to The Sun newspaper, which the expectant star has fiercely denied.
Coleen's dramatic revelation enthralled Britain and sparked an angry denial from pregnant Rebekah, who said 'I don't need the money’ and pointed out other people have had access to her Instagram account.
Rebekah recently gave an interview with The Daily Mail, in which she insisted arguing with Coleen is akin to rowing 'with a pigeon'.
Rebekah was pictured returning to the UK in floods of tears. The star was supported by Jamie as she returned to London's Heathrow Airport from a family trip to Dubai on Saturday.
Tackling things: Shortly after Rebekah spoke out, Coleen, 33, claimed the pregnant star had been leaking stories from her private Instagram to The Sun newspaper

Sources close to Becky say leading law firm Kingsley Napley has sent Coleen a letter on her behalf demanding she provides them with the evidence she has against Becky so that she can complete her investigation.
Becky has called in a forensic team to analyse her Instagram account and identify the mole who sold fake stories to The Sun from Coleen’s Instagram account.
As part of that probe, they say, they have asked Wayne’s wife to give them the proof they have that the source must have been Becky’s Instagram account.
Open and honest: Now, a throwback interview has proved to be extremely poignant as Rebekah spoke about trolling, friends in the WAG world and fakery
Hours before Rebekah's return to British shores, Coleen, whose husband Wayne is currently playing football in the US, looked worse-for-wear as she left footballer Wes Brown's 40th birthday bash in Manchester on Friday at 4am
On Sunday, The Sun reported that Jamie is so upset with the way things have played out between his wife and Coleen that he has 'unfollowed Wayne on Instagram' - however, Jamie has strenuously denied the claims.
A source had alleged to the publication: 'Jamie has always got on well with Wayne, but he won’t stand for having his wife hung out to dry in public like this.'
The source added that Jamie is standing by Rebekah '100 per cent' as she launches a fight to prove her innocence.
