The American Idol kept it casual in the purple active-wear and her hair pulled back in a cheetah-print headband.

She carried a small Chanel handbag as she followed behind her much-older husband.

Foster looked dashing in a plain button up and ripped jeans as he hurried ahead of his wife for their date night.

Take it easy in activewear by Alo Yoga

We love that Katharine McPhee went out for dinner with her husband wearing her activewear.

If you feel comfortable just taking it easy like that and don't feel pressure to dress up to the nines then that's only a good thing. And who doesn't love spending their days in comfy but cool ath-leisure?

The best bit is looking like you're on your way to (or have just completed) some form of exercise class, even if you're just heading for coffee.

Katharine's look is by upscale fitness brand Alo Yoga and we love the relaxed fit of these harem pants. If you do too then click to the right to bag a pair now and style with sneakers and a cashmere hoodie.

The two met back when she was still a contestant on American Idol back in 2006.

At that time, she performed the song I Have Nothing which was written by Foster who had helped her rehearse the song before the big performance.

The two grew so close that he was a wedding guest at her first wedding in which she married Nick Cokas back in 2008. She filed for divorce years later in 2014.

And then dating rumors began to heat up in May of 2017 after they were spotted dining out at Nobu in Malibu.

'I'm really, really fond of him, and I think he's an incredible person,' she said during her interview with Health for their December 2017 issue. 'I've known him since I was 21 years old, you know? He produced my first single. So he's been really good to me. People can say whatever they want.'

And in July of 2018 it became official when he proposed to his longtime love in July last year.

The two later made things official in London over the summer during a small intimate ceremony. Making this his fifth marriage and Katherine's second.
