Wendy Williams reveals she took her son and nephew to their first strip club and taught them how to 'make it rain'

She was given one of Hollywood's highest honors last week.

But perhaps the highlight of Wendy Williams trip to the west coast was taking her son to the strip club for the first time.

The 55-year-old television personality revealed she had taken her 19-year-old son Kevin Hunter Jr. and nephew Travis to see some adult entertainment during the 'hot topics' segment of the Monday episode of her talk show.

Wendy couldn't help but throw a bit of shade toward her ex Kevin Hunter Sr. when recalling the story as she said: 'I taught my son and nephew how to make it rain.  Normally, that's a father's job, but he's busy.

'I think a guy is supposed to go with his father if they want to go to a strip club.'

She referenced her health issues over the years including her battle with Graves' Disease but was thrown off when her son asked if they could check out some adult entertainment.

Williams explained: 'As each day goes by I'm stronger, better and faster than ever, but I have to tell you, so [my son] asked me like three months ago, 'Mom, take me to a strip club.'

She did not react so well to the suggestion at first as she said: 'I was like, "Are you out of your mind?"

'Do you see the headlines going on out here? Somebody's going to call DYFS on me. Alright well maybe you're an adult, they won't call DYFS, but they'll at least call the cops or something. I'm not going to the strip club with you and I like the strip club. No. Get out of here with that!'

However as she was in town to receive her star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Wendy said she was 'hit by the spirit' and decided to change her stance on bringing the boys to the strip club.

She even shared a funny story about how a few of the dancers asked her not to 'judge' them.

Wendy hilariously replied: 'I'm not judging you. Look, can you move over to my son?'

She went on to say that she gave her son 'wads of ones' but he was not taking the advice of Fat Joe and Lil Wayne's 2006 hit.

Wendy said: 'Kev's like just dropping them! I'm like, "Girl, come back over here. Do it again."'

She then showed them how it was done and jokingly told them: 'Like what's wrong with you two! You gotta make it rain!'

It was a joyous time as Williams was appropriately decked out in a sheer Dolce & Gabbana dress covered in stars for her ceremony in Hollywood last week.

During the ceremony, she addressed recent events in her life, and did not hide her emotions.

'The elephant in the room is that I've been having a very, very tough year but, slowly but surely, I'm climbing out of the pit and this is one of those monumental days that makes me say, you know, if you don't believe in yourself who will believe in you?' she said during her speech.

In April, Wendy filed for divorce from her husband of 21 years, Kevin Hunter, amid allegations that he had had a child out of wedlock with another woman.

However, Wendy had already known for quite some time about the illicit affair and love child, yet she waited to act on ending the marriage because her own son, Kevin Jr., was still living at home.
