Coronation Street's Alan Halsall admits he already 'feels pressured' to propose to girlfriend Tisha Merry... just five months after confirming their romance

Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has revealed he's already feeling pressured to propose to girlfriend Tisha Merry, just five months after the pair confirmed their romance.

The Tyrone Dobbs actor, 37, told The Mirror he's still in the throngs of early love with his girlfriend, and is in no rush to pop the question.

Alan and Tisha, 26, confirmed their relationship in August, just a year after the star split from his wife of nine years Lucy-Jo Hudson.

He said: 'The pressure is there from day one but we’ve not been together that long, so I think we’ll just enjoy ourselves for now.'

Speaking about his relationship with Tisha he added: 'It’s great, she’s a wonderful girl and I’m really happy.'

Alan's revelations come after it was reported by The Sun that Tisha had already moved into his home.

A source claimed: 'Tisha is keeping her place on for now but she’s living at Alan’s place full time.'

Alan and Tisha confirmed their relationship at co-star Sam Aston's wedding in May.

Alan, who separated from wife Lucy-Jo Hudson in 2018, shared a snap of himself and Tisha after watching Sam exchange vows with fiancée Briony at picturesque Stock Farm in rural Cheshire - revealing they were together.

The pair looked smitten as they posed with their arms wrapped around each other in the grounds of the sprawling wedding venue.

The pair initially sparked romance rumours in February after posting a series of snaps from their trip to Manchester's AJ Bell Stadium, where they cheered on the Salford Red Devils.

While Alan has played Tyrone Dobbs on Corrie since 1998, Tisha played Steph Britton from 2013 to 2017, with a brief return stint last year.

Alan split from former Corrie star Lucy-Jo in May last year – only a few months after they’d moved into a new home with their daughter, Sienna-Rae.

They had married in 2009 and just eight weeks after they announced their marriage was over, she revealed she was dating panto star Lewis Devine, with whom she swiftly set up home.
