Kylie Jenner denies sending 'cease and desist' letters over Rise And Shine phrase... after filing to trademark it for clothing and footwear use

  • The reality star has been selling $65 hoodies with 'Rise and Shine' on them
  • It came after she sparked a craze by singing it to her daughter Stormi
  • It was claimed her lawyers had contacted a small business in Australia that sells shirts with the catchphrase on it telling them to stop
  • Kylie, 22, tweeted Sunday: ''There are no law suits, no cease and desist letters'
  • Cased Clothing has stated: 'We currently do not and have never had a problem with Kylie Jenner'

She's been selling hoodies with the phrase 'Rise and Shine' on them after sparking a social media craze when she shared video in which she sang it to daughter Stormi.

And on Sunday, Kylie Jenner took to social media again to deny reports that her lawyers had contacted a small business in Australia over their use of the same phrase on t-shirts.

'Guys, please don't believe everything you read. I have not sent any Rise and Shine cease and desist letters,' the 22-year-old reality star tweeted.

'Rise and Shine was an unexpected moment.. I had a lot of fun with it, and I have laughed so hard seeing everyone's memes since the video came out a few weeks ago,' she said.

She then added: 'There are no law suits, no cease and desist letters. Happy Sunday.'

On November 1, MTV Australia reported that a small business owner on Australia's Gold Coast claimed she had received a letter from Kylie's lawyers asking her to stop selling shirts with the phrase 'Rise and Shine' on them.

This despite the fact the business has been selling such shirts for more than a year.

However, when the news started circulating on Twitter, Kylie responded, insisting: 'Lies lies lies. Never did this. Wow.'

Then the business in question - Cased Clothing - also took to social media to deny that there was any truth to the reports.

'We currently do not and have never had a problem with Kylie Jenner,' the business shared.

'We are unsure where all this started and we do not want to be involved.'
