Gabby Allen EXCLUSIVE: 'You can’t win!': Love Island star discusses pressure to get surgery and battling nasty comments from trolls as she stars in activewear campaign

Gabby Allen has spoken candidly about the pressure to look perfect in today’s society, admitting she’s considered a boob job and a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).

Despite her incredibly ripped physique, the Love Island star revealed to MailOnline that she’s battled negative comments from trolls and is still considering getting breast implants, something she first confessed on the reality show in 2017.

Continuing to carve out her niche as a fitness guru, Gabby is fronting a brand new Sport FX campaign for affordable yet stylish activewear that flatters every shape and size.

Gabby has made it her mission to help people get fit, teaching online fitness classes, launching her own fitness book and is even planning her own bootcamps with a focus on fun and relaxation.

However, despite using the platform the reality show has given her to do good, she confesses trolls still sometimes get her down.

She explained: ‘People hide behind their computers. Instagram has given a voice to people who aren’t very nice.

‘I’ve seen a comment on pictures of in a bikini and they’ve said, “She’s got a belly like an old man. She’s got no waist, no hips.” That’s what upsets me.

‘People say stuff about things you can’t change, unless you get surgery. If I were to get surgery, like BBL, than people would be p**sed off about that. You can’t win.’

Gabby admits there is a pressure to look a certain way when you’re in the limelight and her ‘complex’ about her small cleavage has never gone away.

‘It’s still an ongoing thing for me’, she reveals. ‘I was thinking at the time, I’m flat chested compared to everyone in there, and I do have a complex about it.

'It’s not about anybody else. It’s about my own confidence. I’m still considering getting them done. The only reason is that I don’t want to be flat out for a couple of weeks!

'But for my career and what I want to promote, if I want a bigger bum, I just need to go to the gym and squat. If I want to change my body that bad, I can do it through training.’

The Scouse beauty admits she has toyed with the idea of plastic surgery, but her family – especially her brother – keep her grounded and ensure she doesn’t do anything rash.

‘My family are very strict. But my brother is always like – don’t do that, don’t ruin your looks. I trust them.’

Gabby says she makes time to train every morning, whether it’s a home workout or a gym session, because the routine of exercising is so good for her mental health.

‘In an hour’s time it’ll be done and you’ll feel so much better for it. I’m going to feel so much better in a bikini if I just go to the gym’, she explained.

The down to earth reality star also touched upon her time on Love Island, claiming it has been a life-changing opportunity.

Earlier this year, ITV faced backlash about an apparent lack of aftercare for contestants on the show following the tragic suicides of Mike Thalassitis, who appeared on the same series as Gabby, and Sophie Gradon, who took part in the 2016 edition.

Gabby insists the support offered to the cast by producers was good, but agrees the more that can be done to help people’s mental health, the better.

She said: ‘I’ve been contacted by ITV since Mike passed away. I have got strong family and friends around me, I know if I have any issues I could speak to them so I’m very lucky in that respect.

'I do believe if I needed someone from ITV than they would have been there. There are so many of us, it would be impossible to reach out to everyone every day.

'It’s so hard to speak out if you are struggling. It’s a difficult one. There’s a better system put in place now.'

Some viewers have been left disappointed with the latest crop of Islanders splitting from their partners shortly after the series ended, including winners Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea.

Dismissing the notion that ITV are casting more fame-hungry cast members than ever before, Gabby said she believes all the connections we see on the show are genuine.

‘It’s very hard to keep a relationship going in there if you don’t actually like someone. Some people are still together, which is really nice to see – like Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury. There have been some genuine couples.’

Referencing this year’s ‘villains’ Michael Griffiths and Jordan Hames, she added: ‘You put your life in the hands of someone else to portray you in a certain way, if they decide they want to make you look like a k**b, then you’re doomed really.’

The show has taken off in a way no one could have predicted and become a surprise hit in America with everyone from Chrissy Teigen to mainstream TV shows referencing the Love Island UK cast.

The fitness fan insists she wouldn’t change her experience for the world and has been delighted with the opportunities Love Island has given her.

‘There’s a lot of backlash about not looking after people, but I don’t have a bad word to say about them. They gave me an opportunity that changed my life’, she reveals.

‘Two years ago, I was working four different jobs trying to make ends meet. Now I get to look after my family, travel the world for work, it is really positive.’

Gabby has partnered with Sport FX to launch her own gymwear edit, which comes in icy blues, pretty pastels and figure-flattering styles.

The star explained: ‘When the opportunity came up I was so excited, some of my favourite gym outfits are from Sport FX. I had a lot of say in the creation of it, the colours.

‘I wanted to use my favourite colours, blues, lilacs. We’ve done various different cuts and shapes because we wanted it to be accessible to everybody. I want everybody to feel strong from within.’

Gabby, who cites the lilac set as her favourite items, concluded: ‘I never want to do anything that I’m not fully confident with. I have a passion for fitness and a knowledge so I follow through with it for every project I do.’

SportFX x Gabby Allen is available in selected Sports Direct stores and at www.sportfx.com and www.sportsdirect.com from 11 November.
