McGraw added he was going through a tough time after losing his dad of brain cancer, along with his grandparents and coach, and he wasn't dealing with it in the right way and his wife, 'told me to get my stuff together.'

He added that, about 10 or 11 years ago, he took his wife and kids to see a movie and a trailer for one of his movies played before it and his daughter Gracie said, 'Geez, Dad, you need to do something.'

He said while it was funny at the time, it was also a 'clarion call' to get in shape.
