Good as hell! Lizzo announces her first Australian tour in 2020... and reveals her dream to play at the Sydney Opera House is finally coming true

She spent this year rocketing up the charts and now and Lizzo is making her way to Australia for her debut headlining tour in 2020.   

The 31-year-old pop sensation, real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson will be performing two solo shows while Down Under in January; one at the Sydney Opera House and another at Melbourne's The Forum.

These gigs will coincide with Lizzo's scheduled FOMO festival performances, which will take her to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Auckland.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, the Truth Hurts rapper wrote: 'I’m crying... as a flutist, it’s my DREAM to play the Sydney opera house... get ready, aussies me and [my flute] Sasha are taking ovaaaaaa.'

Lizzo will be performing with a live orchestra when she makes her appearance at the Sydney Opera House- something she previously admitted makes her nervous. 

'I would be so anxious. I am confident in everything but the flute,' she told News Corp of playing flue with a live orchestra.

'I did it for so long and I was such a competitive flute player, literally, I was in competitions so I get anxiety about being good enough,' she added.

'It's so wild. Everything else oh I don't care … but if I f**k up on the flute, I'm a failure!'

The Truth Hurts singer has been praised for her unusual combination of rapping, singing and her use of the flute.

And it's clear that it is more than just the fans singing her praises With the Opera House's Ben Marshall keen for her big performance.
