Westlife EXCLUSIVE: The boys are back! Band are heading for first No1 album in 12-years as the nation falls in love with pop treasures all over again
Irish pop icons Westlife are on course for their first number one album in twelve years.
The music stars, who will headline Strictly's result show on Sunday night, made a sensational return earlier this year with a sellout comeback tour.
The band- comprising of Nicky Byrne, 40, Kian Egan, 39, Mark Feehily, 39, and Shane Filan, 40,- are now heading for the top of the charts after they released their album Spectrum on Friday.

Mail Online can reveal the album is outselling the entire top 10 newly released albums combined - including Celine Dion’s new album Courage, Take That’s Odyssey and Lewis Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent.
Speaking to MailOnline just before their Strictly Come Dancing performance, Mark Feehily, said: 'I hear it is doing well. A number one album would be incredible after all this time.
'I don’t think any of us ever imagined that we’d be in contention for a number one album in our twentieth year but we’ve given everything into creating an album that feels fresh and relevant to 2019. The feedback from the fans has been amazing.

'There is still a long way to go until we know the official chart position but it would be fantastic and would round off a brilliant year for Westlife. This isn’t just a one-off comeback, we’ve got big plans for 2020.
'We’re also excited to be performing some if our new music and classic hits on Strictly. I’m a big fan of the show.'

Meanwhile, a source close to the band added: 'Westlife’s new album is outselling the rest of the top 10 combined this weekend.

Westlife soared to fame in 1998 when they were formed in Dublin, with the original line-up also featuring Brian McFadden, who later left in 2004.
The group broke hearts of fans around the globe when they announced plans to disband in 2012 before all embarking on respective solo careers over the years.
In October, Westlife announced their return - with both new music and an anniversary tour - as Shane delightedly revealed: 'We still have a lot that we want to achieve as a band and we want to bring our new music to fans all over the world'.
