Coronation Street are lining up a devastating storyline for Fiz Stape and Tyrone Dobbs as social services are set to take their children away.

Reports state that the couple (played by Jennie McAlpine and Alan Halsall) are to accused of abusing their children Hope and Ruby.

The shock turn of events is down to the actions of crafty nanny Jade Rowan (Lottie Henshall), who is set to finally show her true colours, according to The Sun.

'They are taken away from the couple while an investigation into the claims is carried out.'

The insider added that Fiz and Tyrone will be left entering 2020 wondering 'what happened to their family.'

Amid the social services drama, Jade suddenly does a disappearing act, leading to the family to rumble that she may have had something to do with it.

Fiz then prepares to confront her, but a worried Tyrone warns that if they do anything too drastic, it may jeopardize their chance of getting their children back.

Meanwhile, there's set to be further drama for the family as Evelyn winds up getting herself in trouble with the law once again.   

Veteran actress Maureen Lipman, 73, was spotted filming dramatic court scenes alongside co-stars Jennie and Alan, hinting that there could be trouble ahead for the soap family.

Luckily her long lost grandson Tyrone was around to bail her out, and she since been leaving soap fans in hysterics with her savage insults.

Alongside actress Maureen, co-stars Jennie and Alan were joined by actor Charlie de Melo, who plays lawyer Imran Habeeb, on the set to film the court scenes.

Currently it's unclear whether Evelyn is in court because of her own run-in with the law, or whether it has something to do with Tyrone or Fiz.

Or perhaps Evelyn took the law into her own hands when it came to dealing with Jade?
