Elizabeth Banks puts on a stylish display in a quirky co-ord outfit as she steps out in London... after defending Charlie's Angels' box office flop

On Wednesday, she insisted that 'everyone who saw Charlie's Angels loved it' in response to the reboot's box office flop.

And Elizabeth Banks continued to put on a brave face as she arrived at BBC Radio 2 to promote the film in London on Thursday.

The actress and director, 45, looked sensational in a sleek, co-ord ensemble from Victoria Beckham's bespoke brand that saw her pair a graphic-print shirt with matching trousers.

Elizabeth quirky outfit was adorned with designs of a red-and-blue barn and horses, which was sure to make her stand out.

The Pitch Perfect star boosted her height in a pair of peep-toe heels, and she kept off the winter chill by wrapping up in a black longline coat.

Her blonde locks were styled into glamorous waves, and she enhanced her natural beauty by wearing light touches of make-up.

Be powerful in prints like Elizabeth wearing Victoria Beckham

The Charlie's Angels remake has just premiered in London, following a whistle stop tour. This means that the Angels are in town and in tow is Elizabeth Banks who also stars in the movie.

We love Elizabeth Banks from her Hunger Games and Pitch Perfect days.

Banks chose to wear a full Victoria Beckham look whilst out in London doing promo for the film. She took a node to the pyjama-style dressing which is very in right now, with a matching printed satin shirt and trousers. She could have rolled straight out of bed, though with those high heels and smart navy coat, we highly doubt it.

This is a great look to wear to drinks or to a festive party, it's chic but you can also have fun with the prints.

Unfortunately the actor's outfit is from the new Resort collection, so isn't available just yet. You can click (right) to take a look at VB's current collection.

Elizabeth's outing comes after she spoke out about new movie Charlie's Angels' poor performance at the US box office, blaming it on poor marketing.

The $50million reboot – which she wrote, produced, directed and starred in – pulled in a disappointing $8.6 million on its American debut last weekend, falling short of its projected $12-15 million domestic opening.

And when asked at Wednesday night's London premiere if she believed British audiences would respond better, the star told MailOnline: 'First of all, everyone that sees the movie loves the movie. I think that we had a problem with just, like, no one knew it was out.'

After having sparked backlash for claiming men were less likely to support Charlie's Angels because they don't go out to watch women in action movies, the star was also asked how she felt the project would have fared with a male director.

'I have no idea,' she told MailOnline at the star-studded event, held at the English capital's Curzon Mayfair. 'I couldn't even speculate.'

Despite the headlines surrounding her latest cinematic offering, Banks appeared keen to put her best foot forward when she stepped out in style for Wednesday night's UK premiere.
